Actress Courteney Cox And Rocker Johnny Mcdaid Temporarily Split In February, According To A New Report.
News the Friends star and Snow Patrol rocker had ended their engagement was first reported over the weekend (28-29Nov15), and while Courteney has been seen out without her ring on, neither has confirmed the rumours. It's now been claimed they first began experiencing difficulties in their relationship much earlier in 2015, resulting in them seeking professional help to get back on track.
"She is domineering and used to getting what she wants in her relationships and in work," an insider claimed to Britain's The Sun newspaper. "She is tough and doesn't suffer fools.
"Johnny is laid back and their personalities just clashed. She would try to mother him and he didn't like it."
The Irish musician is also said to have had difficulties getting on board with Courteney's love of property.
The former couple were introduced by their mutual friend Ed Sheeran in late 2013 and after a whirlwind romance they got engaged in June the following year (14). It was thought they would exchange vows at some point in 2015, with Ed rumoured to be gearing up to perform on their special day.
Earlier this week (beg30Nov15) sources told TMZ Johnny had already moved his belongings out of Courteney's homes in Los Angeles and Malibu, California. That is said to have happened before the annual US Thanksgiving holiday last Thursday (26Nov15), with Johnny now thought to be back home in Northern Ireland.
The actress, 51, previously gushed about her former fiancé's "very sensitive soul", telling People in April (15): "When I knew that this was just who he is, that he was just a beautiful, sensitive, loving person with a wonderful family, with a beautiful set of friends... then I was like, 'This is for real.'"
The marriage would have been Courteney's second - she was previously wed to her Scream co-star David Arquette, the father of her 11-year-old daughter, Coco.
