Tyga has been receiving a rather hefty backlash as of late due to rumours claiming he is currently dating the 17-year-old Kardashian sister, Kylie Jenner, which all began when Amber Rose called the 25-year-old rapper out during a recent radio interview.

Tyga has garnered criticsm for allegedly dating Kylie Jenner

Rose, a friend of Tyga's ex Blac Chyna, said on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club that the rap star left his former love and their son for the teen reality TV star. "That's ridiculous. [Tyga] should be ashamed of himself. For sure," the curvy model said. "He has a beautiful woman and a baby and left that for a 16-year-old who just turned 17."

Tyga initially denied dating Jenner when he appeared on the same radio show, but things became complicated, however, when Kanye West (Kylie's brother-in-law) seemed to confirm the pair were romantically linked after telling The Breakfast Club, "I think [Tyga] got in early. I think he was smart."

It is worth noting that West's revelation came from a leaked unedited portion of the interview obtained by TMZ, and now due to these series of events Tyga was forced to address his current relationship with Jenner in a new 92.3 Amp Radio interview.

"I feel like if I tell the world that I love her or I don't, it's on me to dictate that and how I want to keep my friendship or relationship with her," he vaguely said. "It doesn't matter what the world thinks. If you're around somebody and you love being around that person, that's all that matters. I don't think that what anybody could say could change that - how I feel for her as a person. Just being the great person she is, she's just a good person, she's got great energy. We've got a group of friends that we've been hanging out for the longest. I've been knowing her and her family for six/seven years. It's all love there. We're going to continue to grow."

And when the radio show's host, Shoboy, asked if he "loved" Jenner, Tyga replied, "I love her as a person for sure."

"But not romantically speaking?" Shoboy then asked.

"I don't think it really matters," Tyga said. "If you love being around somebody that's all that really matters. [The fans] always want to know what's going on. And I think it's good for them to stay interested and want to be involved in my life, which I appreciate, but sometimes you've got to let the artist live their own personal life."
