Last Flag Flying Trailer

After hearing about the tragic death of his Marine son during his service in the Iraq war, former Navy Corpsman Larry 'Doc' Shepherd (Steve Carell) hits up his old buddy Sal Nealon (Bryan Cranston) for support. They served during the Vietnam war together thirty years previously, so Sal doesn't think twice about abandoning his bar and driving him out to meet another of their former comrades: Reverend Richard Mueller (Laurence Fishburne). The latter is not exactly thrilled to see his old friends, especially when they represent not the most holiest areas of his past, but after hearing Doc's story he's willing to accompany them to Arlington, Texas to say a last farewell to Doc's son.

Of course, it's not quite as simple as that. Upon their arrival, Doc can't help feeling resentful about how his son was taken from him, and decides that he wants to take his body back home with him. The military are at odds with Doc's decision, deeming it more respectful to allow him to be laid to rest at Arlington, but if the only thing that Doc can give his child now is a proper memorial with his loved ones in the town he was raised, he'll be damned if anyone tries to stop him.

At first glance, this seems like a story of grief, of heroism and of the importance of family, but really this is a tale of true friendship; of a brotherhood that has the power to span decades if properly nurtured.

Time Out Of Mind Trailer

George is a man whose life has turned upside down. With no possessions and no home, George lives on the streets of New York. His only family is his estranged daughter. Left with no other choice, George seeks sanctuary from the elements at Bellevue Hospital. Surrounded by other men all in similar situations to himself - and often much worse, there's little respite.

Living in squalid conditions, the only good thing that seems to be happening to George is he finds friendship with a fellow resident, Dixon. With a little help, George begins to get his life - or at least his mental state - back on track all part of a long process to mend his fractured relationship with his daughter.

Time Out Of Mind stars Richard Gere in an almost unrecognisable role. Gere recently admitted that when he was shooting scenes for the movie out on the streets, only two people recognised him and left him feeling invisible. He has since met with NYC Mayor to speak about the homeless problem the city faces.

After becoming the wrong person and coming into some money that doesn't belong to him, Simkin must do whatever he can to make it through, and maybe go back to helping other people instead of himself.

Webb is then faced with the option to leave the story alone, or continue his investigation and put his career, family and own life at risk.

Blood Ties Trailer

Frank is a remarkable cop with a lot to look forward to in his life, but as happy as he is, he still has major worries for the people around him. His brother Chris has just been released from prison after a gang-related murder several years ago. Frank wants to make sure Chris stays on the straight and narrow as he rebuilds his shattered life, and offers him shelter, a job and an opportunity to restore his relationships with his former wife Monica and his children. However, Chris also finds himself reconnecting with some old 'friends' and it soon becomes clear that he has no intention of living straight. Runner Runner Review

Bad

Clearly something went horribly wrong as this thriller was being made, because despite a solid cast, gorgeous locations and an intriguing premise, the film is an incoherent mess. Sure, it looks achingly cool, but there isn't a single moment when the characters' motivations make any sense. And there's never a hint of suspense or danger.

It doesn't help that the set-up revolves around two of the least cinematic things on earth: finances and computers. Timberlake plays Princeton grad student Richie, who runs a gambling website to pay his tuition but loses his savings when another site cheats him. So he heads to Costa Rica to confront the online casino boss Ivan (Affleck). Impressed with his initiative, Ivan offers him a job, and soon Richie has more cash than he can possibly spend. But for some reason, all he wants is Ivan's colleague-girlfriend Rebecca (Arterton). Then a nosey FBI agent (Mackie) forces Richie to help him take Ivan down.

Director Fuhrman showed considerable promise with another renegade loner in The Lincoln Lawyer, but this film simply refuses to fill in enough of the gaps. Nothing that happens here is remotely convincing, as the characters are continually thrust into half-developed scenarios. Perhaps there's a more coherent longer version out there, because this one feels like it was edited with a machete. Even as a cautionary tale about the dangers of greed, this story has nothing relevant to say.

Captain Phillips - International Trailer

Captain Richard Phillips was in command of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama cargo ship on its voyage to Mombasa, Kenya carrying around 17,000 tons of cargo. However, a routine shipping turned into a deadly nightmare when a group of gun-toting, seafaring pirates from Somalia hijacked the vessel, easily avoiding the jets coming out of the fire hoses on all sides, and took the Captain hostage. With only minutes to spare before he came under attack, the brave Captain ordered his crew of 20 to hide, knowing full well that his life was under enormous threat.

Determined to discover the meaning behind what he thinks is a scam, he visits the website's owner Ivan Block who offers him a job with a guaranteed 7-figure salary in just a few months. Unfortunately, he finds himself conned worse than he realised when he is kidnapped by an FBI agent for his apparent 'crimes' and uncovers the corrupt and often cruel operations behind Ivan and his company. Now his tuition fees are the least of his worries as he is now gambling for his life.

Captain Phillips Trailer

Captain Richard Phillips never dreamed that his venture on board the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama cargo ship would turn into a perilous hostage situation when a savage group of seafaring Somali criminals sped towards the vast but markedly unarmed vessel in a bid to seize control of the goods on board. When the brave Captain was held at gunpoint in the first case of piracy in two centuries in 2009, he did everything within his power to ensure the safety of his crew while heroically risking his own life.
