Yungblud has revealed that he is expecting to release his new album in the early months of 2025 and teased a nine-minute opening track on the "rock opera" record.
Yungblud says his new album will be released in early 2025.
The 27-year-old musician is in the process of making his fourth album and told fans that they can expect a nine-minute opening track on the "rock opera" record.
In an interview with The Osbournes, Yungblud said: "The record we're making at the minute is probably the closest to a rock opera we've ever done. So it's made to be played start-to-finish, which is a really cool thing to do.
"The opening song's nine minutes."
The 'Cotton Candy' rocker – whose real name is Dom Harrison - explained that the album won't be released until the beginning of next year as he is determined to "get it right".
When asked by Sharon Osbourne when the record will come out, Yunglud replied: "Probably early next year, I would say. It's a f****** big idea, so I want to get it right. I don't want a s*** rock opera. You've got to f****** think big, it's going to be cool."
Meanwhile, the star recently described how he was treating the new album as if it will be the last one he ever makes.
He told Fearne Cotton on the 'Happy Place' podcast: "I'm almost approaching my next album like, if I die now, what is the one album I want to leave behind? Regardless of genre, is it cool, will it make 150,000 people move I've like literally just thrown that out the window and I'm like what does my soul want to say?"
Yungblud explained that the release of his debut book, 'You Need To Exist', has "facilitated" the new record.
He said: "This year, creating that, it has very much facilitated the album as well because it's kind of like this book has almost helped me write my next album because it's kind of gone like, f*** it, someone's soul captured on record, or in a painting, or in a book, or in a movie script - that's when it truly like transcends time because every one of us has a soul, and very few of us let the world see it."
