Aaron Paul will star in a new drama series on Hulu. The 35-year-old actor, who is best known for his role as Jesse Pinkman in AMC’s Breaking Bad, will star in The Way. The upcoming series is being produced by Jason Katims, who is best known for his work on Friday Night Lights and Parenthood. Paul will also serve as a producer on the upcoming series.

Hulu revealed some details about the upcoming series’ plot, as Variety reports. The series will focus on a family at the centre of a controversial movement and how the strains on their familial relationships. Paul will play a married man and father, Eddie Cleary, who becomes "a convert to a controversial movement with a wayward past.”Cleary "suffers a crisis of faith when all that he's come to accept as truth in his life is fundamentally challenged."

Paul will star opposite Michelle Monaghan in the upcoming series. 39-year-old Monaghan is best known for her role in True Detective as Woody Harrelson’s neglected wife, Maggie Hart. 

The Way will consist of 10 episodes and its being produced by Universal Television, Katims’ True Jack Productions and Paul’s Lucid Road Productions. Jessica Goldberg, who also wrote and produced Parenthood alongside Katims, is set to write the script and executively produce The Way

The Way will be Paul’s first drama role since Breaking Bad finished in 2013. He has previously worked with another streaming service, Netflix, on the animated series BoJack Horseman which he lent his voice to. As for his film roles, Paul has five projects in the works including Fathers and Daughters in which he stars opposite Diane Kruger and Amanda Seyfried.
