Country singer Alan Jackson has been voted Favourite Entertainer at the annual COUNTRY WEEKLY MAGAZINE's FAN FAVOURITE AWARDS (03).
The LIVIN' ON LOVE hitmaker - who won the coveted title for the second year running - was also named the Favourite Male Artist and won the Favourite Collaborative Song category (for Jimmy Buffett duet IT'S FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE), the magazine's editorial team announced on Wednesday (03DEC03).
Other winners included outspoken star Toby Keith, who won Best Album for UNLEASHED and Best Video for BEER FOR MY HORSES, a collaboration with WILLIE NELSON.
Martina McBride was crowned Best Female, while Alabama were named Best Group and Brooks And Dunn took home the BEST DUO gong.
Legendary star Dolly Parton was honoured with a Career Achievement Award, defined as for "those whose songs and performances have made a lasting contribution to the tradition and heritage of country music."
According to the magazine, which will print the results in its next issue, 65,000 country music enthusiasts cast their votes via the internet and a mail-in ballot.
