Fact: Actress Allison Janney made Emmy Awards history during Sunday's (20Sep15) prizegiving when she scored her seventh career win, tying with The Mary Tyler Moore Show star Ed Asner for the most acting triumphs. In addition to her new prize for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Mom, Janney won the same prize last year (14), as well as a trophy for her guest role on Masters of Sex and four for White House drama, The West Wing. Veteran actress Cloris Leachman is the only performer with more wins, with a total of eight Emmys.
