Some fans mistook a pen in the background of one of Caroline’s pics for a rolled up bank note.
Presenter Caroline Flack has hit back at accusations of drug use after some fans thought they spotted a rolled up bank note in the background of one of her Instagram photos. The photo was shared by Flack three weeks ago, but after fans started raising questions on social media she set the record straight.
In the photo captioned ‘Poker night’ some thought they could see a rolled up note alongside a bank card and a pot of Vaseline. According to The Sun, one user commented on the pic: ‘Rolled up note there, Caroline…. and a card.’ The comment was later removed.
Responding to the allegations Flack tweeted, "It's a pen you twits”, while sharing a close up photo of the pen. She later joked: "Thank god no one asked what I use the Vaseline for ... MY LIPS PEOPLE ,MY LIPS."
But speaking to Now magazine, a source said Caroline had deleted many of the accusatory comments on the picture. “Caroline uploaded that picture of herself,” the source told the magazine.
“As soon as people started commenting and suggesting people were taking drugs, despite the fact that the picture clearly shows a pen on the table, she panicked and started deleting the comments. Caroline is at a turning point in her career and she does not want to be associated with illegal drugs in any way.”
