When your mother was basically the face of the nineties, following her footsteps into modelling might seem like a daunting task. But 15-year-old Kaia Gerber, the daughter of original supermodel Cindy Crawford, seems to be doing just fine already, with a top fashion award and a high-profile beauty campaign.

On Thursday the photogenic teen was named the Breakthrough Model of the Year at The Daily Front Row Fashion Media Awards in New York City. Kaia attended the ceremony with mother Cindy, father, businessman Randy Gerber and brother Presley, who’s also now modelling.

James Corden and Cindy Crawford were the unexpected stars of one of the Super Bowl ‘adverts’, as they teamed up to star in a parody of the supermodel’s iconic 1992 Pepsi commercial.

The 49 year old, who earlier in February suggested that she would imminently be retiring from modelling, was a guest on the British host’s ‘Late Late Show’, which aired just a couple of hours after the conclusion of Super Bowl 50 on Sunday night (February 7th). Crawford and Corden had teased the parody last week, and it finally aired on the special edition of the Brit’s show.

The 37 year old British host, now more than six months into his tenure as ‘Late Late Show’ host, hilariously managed to squeeze into the same tight white vest and denim shorts as Crawford. In the video, he gallantly helps Ms. Crawford retrieve the can of Pepsi stuck in a vending machine.

One of the original supermodels, Cindy Crawford, has announced her plans to retire from modelling, when she turns 50 later this month. Crawford celebrates her 50th birthday on February 20th and says although she’ll probably have her picture taken for another 10 more years, it won’t be as a model.

Kate Moss had a body double stand in for her on a London fashion shoot for shoe designer Stuart Weitzman. The 39-year-old model decided there was no point in her loitering around while the photographers got the perfect lighting and angle so she hired a stand in model to do all the boring bits.

As the main accessory the model needed to show off was the thigh-high grey suede boots, the director thought that there was no point allowing Moss and her double to wear much else. Underneath white furry coats, Moss and her twinny wore beige tops which left nothing to the imagination, especially as a few paparazzos' cameras caught, in the cool breeze. Moss on the other hand went to great pains to ensure she was entirely covered whilst her body double went to no such lengths. 

According to onlookers, speaking to The Mail, "Kate didn't look her usual fabulous self - and the body double seemed to be doing most of the scenes".

Cindy Crawford has, for the first time, opened up about her divorce from Richard Gere eighteen years ago, citing the age difference as the primary reason for the split. The pair were married for just four years before calling it quits in 1995. "I think a lot of what happened with Richard and I was, I was still 22 and at 22 - as a young woman - I was kind of still figuring out who I was and what I wanted to be and he was already 37," Crawford explained to Oprah Winfrey for an upcoming episode of "Oprah's Master Class."

Crawford talked about the difficulties of dating Gere - then one of the biggest actors in the world - while she was still trying to forge her own career. "I just think your twenties for women is such a time when you're starting to come into your own and feel your own power and connect to your inner strength and it's hard to do that - it's hard to change - in a relationship, because what one person might have signed up for, all of a sudden, you're not that anymore," she said.

However, Crawford credits the Officer And A Gentleman actor for teaching her how to deal with her burgeoning fame. "When I would see how he was with fans when they approached him.. I got to look to him to see how he created boundaries for himself," she said. The model is now married to Rande Gerber, while Gere has been married to Carey Lowell since 2002.
