David Gandy has launched his own underwear collection.
The 34-year-old model, who regularly walks the catwalks from Milan to Paris in his boxers, has unveiled a capsule collection for Marks and Spencer called David Gandy for Autograph, which is made up of 28 items ranging from boxers and briefs to sleepwear.
David told VOGUE the collaboration had been a long time coming, saying: ''We've been working closely for a few years, so it felt like a natural progression to collaborate with them on my own range.
''Partnering with a great British brand like M&S felt the perfect fit right now.''
David, who is currently the face the M&S Collection Menswear label, didn't find it difficult making the transition to designer and following in the footsteps of former soccer star and model David Beckham, who has his own collection for H&M.
He said: ''I've genuinely enjoyed every part of the process and feel proud of the results.
''I wanted to combine quality of fabrics, good design and fit, and an element of style with each piece to form the basic essentials for the range.''
He added: ''I still enjoy modelling and that has given me various opportunities to explore other things too - it will always be at the heart of whatever I do.''
David isn't the first model launch their own M&S underwear collection since Rosie Huntington-Whiteley created her own brand, Rosie for Autograph, which went on to become the fastest-selling underwear range in the store's history.
David said: ''I have to be honest, from sketching designs, choosing the fabrics, adding personal touches and even down to the packaging, I've been really involved and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd love to do more if the opportunity came along.''
David Gandy for Autograph will be launch in London on September 18.
