David Mitchell and TV presenter Victoria Coren have announced their engagement to a slew of well wishers, with the popular Twitter man Mitchell in particular receiving a great deal of love from his 626,000 plus followers. The pair revealed news on the pay-walled Times newspaper, and then thanked fans from around the world on their respective twitter accounts.
"Having received so many lovely messages today, I'm finally coming round to the idea of the internet. Thank you all. I'm incredibly happy," tweeted Mitchell earlier this afternoon, whilst Coren wrote on her feed "Thank you for your nice tweets this morning. I'm very happy." The couple originally appeared together on the Bbc quiz show 'The Bubble,' and this morning a notice in The Times had named "Mr D.J.S. Mitchell and Miss V.E. Coren" in the forthcoming marriages section.
