Fact: Disney bosses are returning to the Snow White saga for a new movie about the fairytale princess' sister. Executives are developing a script about Rose Red, written by Justin Merz, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The story imagines the part Snow White's sister played in the classic Brothers Grimm tale, and suggests she played a key role in waking her sibling from a sleeping death after she takes a bite from a poisoned apple.

Fact: Disney's animated movie Frozen is a hit all over again in the home entertainment market - 3.2 million units of Dvds and Blu-rays were sold on their first day of release in the U.S. on Tuesday (18Mar14). The family film took in over $1 billion at the worldwide box office and its soundtrack has just returned to the top of the U.S. charts for a non-consecutive sixth weeks.

Fact: A prequel to the Disney classic Peter Pan is heading to Broadway. The production, Peter and the Starcatcher, follows Peter on as mystical voyage to a faraway island and is set to be staged next spring (12).

The 20-strong submissions list, which will be whittled down to five by February (10), also includes Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Mary and Max, Ponyo and Monsters vs. Aliens.
