Ella Eyre is thrilled to have been nominated for Best Female at the 20th MOBO Awards but ''wouldn't mind losing'' to Lianne La Havas in the category because she loves her music.
Ella Eyre ''wouldn't mind losing'' to Lianne La Havas at the 20th MOBO Awards.
The 'Gravity' hitmaker has been nominated in the Best Female category and will be up against Lianne, FKA Twigs, Little Simz and Jess Glynne.
Although Ella would love to take home the trophy she'd be delighted if 'Unstoppable' singer Lianne won because she's such a fan of the musician and her latest album 'Blood'.
Speaking at the MOBO nominations announcement in London today (30.09.15), she told BANG Showbiz: ''I'm really flattered to be a part of it, especially to be nominated in such a strong category as Best Female. I'm a huge fan of Lianne La Havas and she's in the category as well, I wouldn't mind losing to her to be honest. She has a fantastic voice, has made a great album and I think that it's great that she's getting the accolades she deserves.''
The 2015 MOBO Awards will take place on Wednesday November 4 at Leeds' First Direct Arena and Ella can't wait to get up to West Yorkshire because she has fond memories of being in the city in North England when she toured with Rudimental.
The 21-year-old pop star said: ''I love Leeds. I got my love for Leeds when I first went on tour with Rudimental. It's such a great place to go out and it's a really lovely city to be in. I'm definitely a Northerner inside, somewhere along the line I was born in the wrong place. I love being up North. I've had a few messy nights up there but who hasn't?''
Other nominees include Krept & Konan, who have four nods in total, Mark Ronson, Rita Ora and Jamie XX.
The 20th MOBO Awards will be broadcast live on ITV2 - and later repeated in full on ITV - and tickets to attend the show are available via www.mobo.com/tickets.
