British singer Jay Sean has teamed up with officials at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to promote an adoption scheme for homeless pets.
The Down hitmaker has filmed an advertisement for the organisation to remind the public there are hundreds of healthy dogs and cats in need of a loving home.
And the anti-fur star agreed to take part in the campaign after becoming closer to animals when he took in a pet pooch.
He says, "Up until I had a dog, I didn't realise the connection you actually have, that I have, with animals. And you realise that just because they're animals, you can't treat them any less than you would a human being.
"Parents might not know that they can go to a shelter to adopt one rather than going to a store to buy one... You know that they've had their vaccinations and have been neutered... so they go through all those checks before you even get them."
