John Travolta 's attorney Marty Singer may have celebrated the actor's "vindication" earlier this week after the massage therapist known as 'John Doe No.1' admitted he had gotten his dates mixed up.but maybe the heavyweight actor-lawyer team shouldn't be cracking open the champagne just yet.
According to People magazine, the masseur - who accuses Travolta of numerous sexual offenses - has hired attorney-to-the-stars Gloria Allred. John Doe No.1 parted ways with his former lawyer Okorie Okorocha on Friday (May 11, 2012) after a wave of contradictory evidence brought the accusations into question. After deeming the case was worthy enough to take on, Allred issued a statement to People magazine that read, "We are in the process of conferring with him regarding the next steps, which he may wish to take. Our client and our firm has no further comment at this time". Last week, Travolta's similarly high profile lawyer Marty Singer told Tmz.com, "My client is completely vindicated by Doe #1 dropping his claims and dismissing his lawsuit", before predicting a similar outcome in the case of John Doe No.2. The second masseur is accusing Travolta of similar sexual mis-behavior.
Allred is perhaps best known for representing Nicole Brown Simpson's family during the O.J Simpson murder trial, though has also worked on high profile cases involving Britney Spears, Rob Lowe and TOMMY LEE.
