British Bands McFly and Busted have announced they will be joining forces and creating a supergroup called McBusted. The two acts were dominated Britain's music charts in the early 2000s and now they will hit the road as a six-piece.

McFly will join forces with Busted on a tour in 2014

The announcement came at a press conference on Monday (Nov 11th) held in London's Soho Hotel which was hosted by Emma Willis, the wife of Busted member Matt Willis.The confirmed that their joint tour around the country will commence in 2014.

The individuals who will take part are Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd from McFly, whereas Matt Willis and James Bourne will rep Busted.

Busted's 3rd member, Charlie Simpson, will not be reuniting with his former band mates so he can concentrate on solo projects.

Simpson has showed support for the lads on his twitter account as he posted, "just wanted to say that though I am not joining @mattjwillis and @JamesBourne on their new venture, I wish them all the very best with it!"

The two bands have already given fans a taster of what to expect as they previously joined forces for Mcfly's 10th anniversary. Busted joined the boys on stage at London's Royal Albert Hall and performed their hit tracks 'Year 3000' and 'Air Hostess'.

Tom Fletcher, the lead singer of McFly, spoke about their collaboration at the press conference, "We had an amazing time performing with Busted on stage. It was so much fun. We didn't expect the kind of reaction we got."
