Monty Python star Michael Palin is moving on from the comedy troupe's recent reunion by landing a job narrating a new version of beloved British children's Tv show the Clangers.
The veteran funnyman, who ended a series of comeback shows with the group in London in July (14), has been chosen to provide the voiceover for a reboot of the animated classic, which originally ran from 1969 until 1972.
Palin was picked for the job by Daniel Postgate, son of the original show's creator Oliver Postgate, who tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "Michael was my first choice and I am delighted."
The new show is due to air in 2015.
