French actor Olivier Martinez has finally confirmed he is engaged to marry Halle Berry after months of rumours.
Martinez was said to have popped the question over the Christmas (11) holidays after the actress was seen sporting a large diamond ring on her wedding finger, but both remained silent on the marriage speculation.
However, Martinez has now confirmed they are planning to wed.
At the opening of his new restaurant in Miami, Florida on Saturday (10Mar12), he was asked about the rumoured engagement and he told Miami.com, "Yes, of course it's true!"
A spokesman for jewellery designer Gurhan Orhan appeared to previously confirm the story, but Martinez is adamant he was not involved as Berry's engagement ring was made by Parisian jeweller Robert Mazio, adding, "There is a jeweller taking credit for doing the ring and it's a lie. They have nothing to do with this."
