EMI Records/Good Groove are proud to announce the new single by Corinne Bailey Rae. 'Put Your Records On' will be released on February 20th, followed by her self-titled debut album on February 27th.
Corinne was recently voted the Sound of 2006 by the BBC News website – a poll of 100 of the most influential journalists, broadcasters and producers in the UK. Previous years have seen Keane, 50 Cent, Scissor Sisters, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party and Kaiser Chiefs tipped for the top. Corinne has also been tipped for the top by almost every newspaper and entertainment magazine whilst radio stations have already started playlisting 'Put Your Records On' weeks upfront of its release, with Radio 1 leading the charge.
Corinne will also be heading out on her first major UK tour. Dates are as follows:
