The date for the romantic ceremony has yet to be revealed but with the couple leaving the country it looks like they’ll be heading down the aisle soon.

Despite her own recent marriage problems, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is going to fulfil her promise to her Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh by acting as her bridesmaid later this month.

The 32 year old singer and her former bandmate Nicola Roberts are set to be the two bridesmaids at Kimberley’s wedding to Justin Scott, her partner of 11 years, at the end of January in a romantic ceremony in Barbados.

A source told The Sun: “Kimberley sorted the date for her wedding ages ago and Cheryl is going to be there to ensure the big day goes to plan. She's played a huge part in the preparations and being involved had at least provided her with a bit of a distraction from her own troubles.”

It seems as though combining the much-anticipated Girls Aloud comeback with Strictly Come Dancing has left Kimberly Walsh with a lot to do. She's been talking to The Sun about her packed schedule. 

"When I signed up, I probably wouldn't have expected to get so far in Strictly!" she said, "But I knew about the Girls Aloud work when I started, so although it's been tricky and very busy, I wouldn't change it for anything. I must admit, I've had a few moments where I've thought I'm losing my mind. But I'm not the only one -- Dani (Harmer) is rehearsing for panto and everyone has careers besides Strictly. It's just a final push to go now. We can do it!" All this work seems to have taken its toll on the singer's body, and she's feeling it now! "It's been tricky to rehearse because it hurts when Pasha tries to lift me," she explained. "I went to a doctor and I've been given painkillers and anti-inflammatory tablets -- I feel like my body isn't coping very well at all!"

Still, despite dancing through the pain, Kimberly is determined to make the most of her opportunity on the show. "Despite the injuries, I'm feeling quite confident because they're great routines," she said. "The Charleston is really fun and it's a great song and the American smooth is obviously completely different, very dramatic, so I'm looking forward to them both. Last week's scores definitely gave me a boost. No matter what happens now, I was really pleased to make those improvements that got us a perfect score. That was a brilliant moment."

Cheryl Cole assumed it was a good idea to wear a tight fitting leather dress to her pal Kimberly Walsh's birthday party in London last night (November 21, 2012), despite intending to eat until she couldn't eat no more. Cole, 29, opted for the nude coloured dress from The Row, though told fans she had well and truly scoffed her face at the upmarket eatery Zuma.

Donning matching bright orange dresses, the five girls of Girls Aloud took to the stage at the BBC's Children In Need show last night (16th Nov. 2012), marking their first performance of their reunion. 

The band that was first created on Pop Idol back in 2002, performed their newest single, aptly titled 'Something New', and performed a dance routine that was a bit of a watered down version of the video. Nadine Coyle, having been asked how it felt to be back on stage, said "That was nerve-wracking! Was that a mistake I made there? Was I supposed to walk forward? All those nervous things!" according to the Mirror. Kimberly Walsh added that "[They]'ve all fallen back into our roles it's as if nothing ever changed. It really does just feel so good to be here." 

Nadine, Kimberly, Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts have all been pursuing solo careers since going on hiatus in 2009, but have chosen to reform to mark 10 years in the making. Past hits include 'Sound of the Underground', 'Love Machine' and 'Something Kinda Oooh'. Their new single is out on Sunday (18th Nov. 2012) and the album, titled Ten will be released next week, on November 26th. 

Kimberly Walsh is having to undertake physiotherapy after suffering a knee injury on the tenth series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The Girls Aloud singer has developed iliotibial band syndrome but hopes to be fully recovered by the weekend when she will perform a salsa routine with her professional partner Pasha Kovalev. The condition is the result of strenuous, repeated exercise more commonly associated with running, cycling, hiking or weight-lifting. 'I've got a bit of a bad knee which is causing me a bit of trouble', the star told BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat. 'But I'm getting physio every day and I'm crossing everything that I'll be able to salsa this weekend.'

And it's no wonder she's caused some damage; she must've been doing some pretty intense rehearsing for last weekend's routine which earned her her highest score of the series so far. She got 31 points from the judges which put her in an impressive second place. Her dance moves seem to be attracting the attention of other dancers too, with Louis Smith confessing that he thought she was 'beautiful' leading us to believe he was harbouring a little crush on the 30-year-old. However, he has since denied this, telling reporters at Cosmopolitan's Ultimate Women of The Year Awards 2012: 'I don't have a crush on Kimberley Walsh. I got asked if I think she is good looking and I said that she is beautiful. Then in the papers the next day, I had a crush on her.' We believe you, Louis!

Girls Aloud fans across the country have been delighted by the revelation that Girls Aloud will be reuniting for a tenth anniversary album and tour. The album will be aptly titled 'Ten' which will be released on November 26th 2012, and will be followed by a 12 date tour in 2013.

It was exactly ten years ago today (19th Oct 2012) that the multi-platinum selling girl band first appeared on the original reality talent TV show Popstars: The Rivals, which pitted a girlband against a boyband in the race to Christmas number 1. Girls Aloud won, marking the first of many successes.

The greatest hits album will include four new songs, including the new Children in Need song 'Something New', plus there'll be the possibility to get a deluxe edition with extra features as well. Reported by the BBC Cheryl Cole said "We're really excited. It feels like nothing has changed."

Girls Aloud have finally unveiled their reunion plans. The girl group, famous for hits such as ‘Sound of the Underground’ and ‘Something Kinda Oooh’ will be releasing a greatest hits album on November 26 and will be following up the album release with a world tour in 2013. Cheryl Cole, who went on to have the most successful solo career, of the five girls (as well as a stint as an X Factor judge) said, at a press conference “We're really excited. It feels like nothing has changed,” BBC reports.

The news arrived in a timely fashion; the announcement was made ten years to the day that the girls first appeared on the ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals. Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh were selected to form a girl group and were then pitted against a boy band, One True Voice, in a talent contest. Their debut single, Sound of the `Underground, became a number one hit in the UK – the first of 20 consecutive top 10 singles between 2002 and 2009. One True Voice, on the other hand, split up after just two single releases. “It’s worked out really nicely that it’s our tenth anniversary year” said Nicola Roberts.

Girls Aloud will be releasing a new single ‘Something New,’ on November 18, 2012. Fans who pre-order the album this weekend will be given a chance to buy concert tickets for next year’s tour before they go on public sale.

After a three year hiatus, Girls Aloud, the most successful reality-tv music act of all time (according the Guinness World Records), are to reunite and hopefully continue their successes. True to form of almost every contemporary music act, their new single 'Something New' has been leaked online, although it has already been removed from the website upon which it originally appeared.

Girls Aloud relaunched their website last week with a ten day countdown on the site, which inspired and reinforced the rumours about their reunion. The official announcement of their come back was supposed to be this Friday, but it seems the leak of the video is enough evidence to confirm to all that they have definitely reunited. But for how long? NME report that Cheryl Cole hinted in her autobiography that this reunion will be brief. The book apparently suggests a greatest hits album and a 10th anniversary tour. She wrote: “We'll be working on a tour and greatest hits album. Then I think that's it for Girls Aloud. We've achieved more than any of us ever dared to dream of.”

Heat Magazine tried to describe the single by saying that it's a mix of David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and some bits that “sound a lot like the "neeeeeoooooww" bits in Lady Gaga's Bad Romance.” We are somewhat unconvinced...

Girls Aloud have released a teaser for their upcoming video, set to be released this Friday. The trailer shows the five ladies walking away from the camera and cuts off just as they are about to turn. The new video comes following the announcement of the girl group's long awaited reunion after years of separation. Preparation for the long awaited Girls Aloud reunion is in full swing and the five members are about to make a big announcement to fans on YouTube this Friday.

According to Digital Spy, Cheryl, Nadine, Kimberly, Sarah and Nicola will also be releasing a Greatest Hits album next year, followed by a UK tour, which might turn out to be their last.

The Girls Aloud official website has been relaunched as part of the promotional effort. It features a ten day countdown to the release of the new single "Untouchable".

Despite rumours of infighting, Cheryl Cole’s continuing success and Kimberly Walsh’s stage ambitions, Girls Aloud are confirmed to be returning with new material and a nationwide tour. Now, it has emerged that Cheryl’s forthcoming appearance on Strictly Come Dancing will be anything but a solo performance.

According to insiders, the pop superstar will be joined by band-mates Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and current Strictly contestant Kimberly Walsh. “It's an amazing slap in the face for Simon Cowell and proves that Cheryl really wants Strictly to beat her old show,” an insider privy to the deal told the Daily Star. Though the media appear set on reporting a Cole versus X Factor feud (Cowell famously sacked her from the U.S version of the show), it didn’t stop the Geordie singer from signing up as Gary Barlow’s sidekick for the ITV show. Nevertheless, it seems the girl-group have decided on the BBC as the stage for their return and it’s likely they will sing live on the show in November (when Cole was initially pencilled in to perform her single Screw You). Kimberly may well still be in contention for the Strictly crown by then; currently she’s the second favourite with the bookies at 10-3. British athlete Louis Smith remains the favourite at 9-4.

Cheryl Cole’s boyfriend Tre Holloway was supposed to be one of the star dancers in her new shows. When he injured his knee on a trampoline, though, he was forced to pull out of the shows. Determined to support Cheryl, regardless, he could be found handing out drinks backstage instead. Tre was seen hobbling around at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena, where he was dishing out Bollinger champagne and coffee-flavoured tequila. It looks as though he may be trying to get himself back into Cheryl’s good books, after she expressly told him not to go on the trampoline in the first place, The Mirror reports. Tre should be returning to Cheryl Cole’s A Million Lights Tour before long, though.

Luckily for the former Girls Aloud singer, her show went well, even without her favourite dancer onstage with her. Though it wasn’t all plain sailing, as she suffered a bit of a wardrobe malfunction part way through the set: “I split my trousers,” she told The Mirror. “There’ll no doubt be some scenes on YouTube... I had to safety pin them.” And one girl tried to pull her hair, as she walked into the crowd – much to her dismay: “I was, like, ‘you’re supposed to be a fan!’” exclaimed Cheryl.

Apparently, Cheryl’s particularly looking forward to the two-night homecoming gigs in Newcastle. When she plays the O2 Arena in London on Sunday (October 7, 2012), she’s expecting to meet up with her old Girls Aloud pals, Nicola Roberts, Kimberly Walsh and Sarah Harding – though they’re not expected to be joining her onstage this time, more’s the pity. A Girls Aloud reunion is in the pipeline though, she reassured us: “we’re gonna do something later, so this wasn’t really the time.”

The BBC have confirmed that Cheryl Cole will appear as a music guest on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, for an episode set to air in mid-November. The singer will be performing her new single ‘Screw You’ on the show, on what will be a live recording.

Around the same time, Cole (née Tweedy) will also be making a return to The X Factor as part of the judge’s home segment of the show, in which she will offer advice and a few pointers to the budding singers. She will sit alongside judge Gary Barlow as he mentors his batch of hopefuls. The two supposedly hatched the plan for Cheryl to return to the show during the celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, for which Barlow served as the curator.

As well as the ITV reunion, Cheryl could also be making another reunion when she joins the BBC show to perform, this time with her former Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh. Kimberley is set to be one of this year’s contestants and should she still be in the competition by the time Cheryl makes her appearance, it would mark a potentially emotional reunion between the two. Kimberley recently revealed to the press that it was Cheryl’s influence that made her join the reality show, admitting that she and fellow Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts urged her to do the show.
