At Sunday night’s Grammy awards Adele paid an emotional tribute to George Michael, performing his 1996 single ‘Fastlove’.

During her performance Adele was forced to restart the song to make sure she got it perfect, telling the audience, "I can't mess this up for him.”

But originally the awards envisioned a tribute to Michael that would feature other artists, including Beyonce and Rihanna, singing portions of his most famous songs.

Five years after they welcomed their first child, Blue Ivy, into the world, Beyonce and her husband Jay Z have revealed that they are expecting twins, after the star announced that she is pregnant for the second time.

The 35 year old star, who is due to headline the Coachella festival in a few months’ time, took to Instagram to reveal the happy news to her fans. Posing in just a bra and underwear with her baby bump, the snap quickly became the most liked photo in Instagram history when she revealed the news on Wednesday (February 1st).

Jay Z has hit back at conservative pundit Tomi Lahren on his new track with Pusha T titled ‘Drug Dealers Anonymous’. The song was released last night on Jay’s streaming service Tidal and samples Lahren’s viral rant from earlier this year, in which she labelled Jay a drug dealer and criticised wife Beyonce’s Superbowl performance.

A range of pop stars including Jay Z, Beyonce, Kanye West and Rihanna are suing a Paris-based clothes retailer and manufacturer for “brazenly” selling merchandise such as hats, T-shirts and mobile phone cases bearing their likenesses without their permission.

A complaint was filed on Tuesday (October 6th) at a federal court in New York alleging that the company ElevenParis has ignored warnings previously issued by the artists to stop the items in question from being sold. According to Reuters, the retailer’s actions “have caused and are causing immediate irreparable harm” to the plaintiffs.

Jay-Z has just announced a huge concert titled Tidal X: 10/20, which will feature headline performances from the man himself as well as Prince and Beyonce. The gig is to celebrate Tidal hitting 1 million subscribers and will take place on October 20th at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Ed Sheeran must have felt like he was dreaming on Saturday night, when he got to join Beyonce onstage at the 2015 Global Citizen Festival for a duet of her hit song ‘Drunk in Love’. Sheeran frequently covers the track but this was the first time he had performed his stripped down acoustic version with Queen Bey herself.

Kim Kardashian has just surpassed Beyoncé to become the Queen of Instagram, with over 44 million followers as of Monday (August 24th). The reality star has narrowly beaten Beyonce to take the crown, breaking her previous record of 43.95 million. According to the Daily Mail, just two weeks ago Kim was ranked in the number two spot with 42million followers, meaning that she has gained over two million followers in just 14 days.

Kim Kardashian has now got more Instagram followers than Beyoncé.

Last week Kim had celebrated hitting the 42 million followers mark on the photo sharing site, posting a cleavage-centric pic. Kim's Instagram feed is usually filled with her favourite type of image, the 'selfie', which she loves taking so much that earlier this year she published a whole book dedicated to them titled ‘Selfish’. The book contained over 350 pages filled with selfies of the 34 year old from over the years.

Hugh Jackman and Stephen Colbert have been announced as some of the big name hosts of next month’s Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park.

The Global Citizen Festival, which was launched in 2012 as part of 15 year campaign to end extreme poverty worldwide by 2030, made the announcement via its website on Thursday morning (August 13th).

Salma Hayek, Olivia Wilde, Kerry Washington and Deborra-Lee Furness, Jackman’s wife, have also been confirmed as emcees for the free-ticket event which takes place in Central Park on September 26th this year.

Nicki Minaj is not happy with the MTV Video Music Award nominations. The 32-year-old singer took to Twitter to complain about two of her music videos not receiving enough recognition. Jay-Z could be about to suffer some major embarrassment with his streaming service Tidal, as his wife Beyoncé is among the artists whose music could get removed from the platform if a deal isn't reached with record company Sony.

Beyonce's music could soon be gone from Tidal.

According to a report by Bloomberg Businessweek Sony is threatening to pull all of its artists' music from Tidal including that of Beyoncé who one of the compnay’s co-owners. Bloomberg reports that sources have said Jay-Z is yet to reach a deal on a streaming contract with Sony and the record company is reportedly asking for "large advances" in return for giving Tidal the rights to feature its artists' catalogues.

Two weeks after her mother Tina Knowles tied the knot with Richard Lawson, Beyoncé has shared intimate snaps from the big day, showing off her not one but two bridesmaids dresses. Bey's mother Tina married the 68 year old actor on board a yacht on April 12th, surrounded by the couple’s friends and family.

The much discussed Tidal revolution seems to already be taking effect. Having purchased the new streaming service as part of a joint venture and re-launching it as an “artist friendly” business model, Jay Z has removed his 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt from Spotify.

The rapper removed his album overnight between Monday and Tuesday, and it is currently unavailable to stream in the US and Canada. It is, for the moment, still accessible for UK users. Instead, North American fans can find it on – you guessed it – Tidal.

Rihanna has dropped a brand new track, the poetically titled American Oxygen, and in the process, declared her allegiance for Jay Z's new streaming service, Tidal. The track is Rihanna's take on the "American dream," but you've probably guessed this from the title already.

The news here is that Rihanna, just like Beyonce before her and Madonna before that has lent her support for Jay Z's artist-friendly alternative to services like Spotify. On Saturday, Beyoncé also debuted her new track Die With You exclusively on the site. American Oxygen is only available to Tidal subscribers, whose numbers are still disappointingly small. Maybe it's the $10 subscription fee?

Destiny's Child. Stellar Awards. Guys. It happened. The former R&B trio didn't tease their reunion or reveal they were planning anything at all, they just made it happen on Saturday night. Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams took the stage together at Las Vegas' Orleans Arena to perform Williams' Say Yes. Beyoncé and Rowland previously collaborated on the studio version of Williams' single, an EDM-inspired reimagining of the Nigerian gospel song When Jesus Says Yes.

Jay-Z is apparently involved in a legal battle concerning his alleged fathering of a love child over twenty years ago. According to the National Enquirer, leaked court documents suggest that Rymir Satterthwaite, a 21 year old aspiring rapper from New Jersey, filed a request for Hova to undertake a paternity test to prove or disprove that he is his father.

Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, successfully fought against this suit five years ago, but in December 2014 a paralegal named Lillie Coley, believed to be Satterthwaite’s legal guardian, filed evidence that the rapper had submitted false information to the court to get out of taking the test.

After creating another publicity firestorm at the Grammys over the weekend, Kanye West has sought to clarify what he meant and taken back some of the things he said about Beck.

The 57th Grammy Awards is due to feature a number of high profile collaborations, but the biggest announcement may be still to come. Rumour has it that Rihanna, Kanye West and Sir Paul McCartney will be performing a live rendition of RiRi’s new single ‘FourFiveSeconds’.

The unlikely trio will reportedly take to the stage at the ceremony in Los Angeles next weekend. A source has told ‘The Sun’ newspaper: “Rihanna's seriously pleased to have bagged a big slot at The Grammys and two huge names to kick off her comeback. Paul McCartney's a Grammys regular and it will give Rihanna serious kudos to have a Beatle backing her on stage. It is going to be a huge Grammys moment.”

Babies, babies are everywhere... well, maybe. The question of the hour is, is Beyonce carrying a second child? Photos were recently snapped of the ***Flawless Queen B at the beach with Blue Ivy. Yonce is buried up to the neck in sand, but what immediately attracted everyone’s attention was a very prominent mound of sand atop her belly region.

The photo sharing site Instagram has decided to remove millions of profiles which were believed to be posting spam. The website's action, dubbed the 'Instagram rapture', has left a number of legitimate users disgruntled at their seeming lack of online popularity and the purge has seriously affected celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber and Akon.

Kim Kardashian is now the second most followed Instagram user.

Beyoncé's hit track 'Drunk In Love,' featuring her hubby Jay Z, from her self-titled fifth studio album is getting targeted with infringement allegations by an Hungarian singer whose vocals are heard at the beginning of the song.

Beyonce is being sued by a Hungarian singer called Mitsou

Monika Juhasz Miczura, better known as Mitsou, claims she never gave permission for her vocals to be used in the duet track, and has now filed a Manhattan Supreme Court suit asking for unspecified damages from the 33-year-old songstress.

The video is in stark contrast to the glossy, high budget, mini movies which Beyoncé has become known for. Instead for ‘7/11’ the costumes and choreographed routines have been dropped in favour of a more fun, low key video.

Superstar soul singer, Solange Knowles, 28, married her fiancé of five years, video director Alan Ferguson, 51, in New Orleans on Sunday, November 16. Close family and friends including the bride’s superstar sister and brother-in-law, Beyonce, 33, and Jay Z, 44, were there to celebrate the union.

For the second year in a row, Beyonce has been unveiled as the highest-earning female in the music industry, according to the annual Forbes list. With the help of her most recent album, her enormously successful world tour and a host of endorsement deals, she’s more than doubled her earnings from the previous year.

So there’s SXSW for the hipsters, Coachella for the fashionable crowd… and then there’s the Global Citizen music festival, which has a different vibe altogether. Held in Central Park, the third annual event featured the likes of Beyonce, Jay Z, Alicia Keys, No Doubt, Sting and fun. The star-packed festival is free to attend and sets itself the ambitious goal of “erasing poverty by 2030.”

After their On The Run success, Bey and Jay graced the Central Park stage in honor of a good cause.

So here’s how it works. The acts all performed for free, with brief speeches by the likes of Jessica Alba, Hugh Jackman and Olivia Wilde speaking in between performances. It was an exercise in raising awareness and putting pressure on world leaders to enact more effective policies on equality. Attendees were also encouraged to take the pledge, which would earn them points to put towards VIP entry.

Beyonce gave fans at her Paris concert an extra special treat on Friday night when rapper Nicki Minaj joined her on stage for a rendition of their duet ‘Flawless’. The performance marked the first time the pair had appeared on stage together, despite releasing the duet last month.

Dressed in a patterned Versace leotard and a spiked headpiece, Queen Bey was joined on stage by the diminutive ‘Anaconda’ singer who sported a matched catsuit and high ponytail. The performance closed the Paris concert which was part of Beyonce’s ‘On the Run’ tour with husband Jay-Z.

Beyonce has treated fans to a special look at just what went into making her MTV VMAs performance so spectacular by sharing a backstage video. In the four minute clip, the highs and lows of rehearsals are put on display as Beyonce and her dancers are shown trying to perfect the gruelling routine. First published on her Facebook page, the singer captioned the video, “Flashback Friday! A behind the scenes look at the days leading up to the 2014 MTV VMAs”.

Too often it seems like we get only examples of girl hate in media, but Demi Lovato is generally one to spread positivity and support for her fellow female celebs. Miss Lovato did not disappoint when speaking about Kim Kardashian recently. The former Disney girl, who has been very public about her own struggles with an eating disorder, spoke out against restrictive beauty standards in media, saying: "When I was growing up and when I was a pre-teen, the people that I had to look up to [for] body image [were] extremely underweight … [They] were all very bony at that time and that was the in thing.”

Demi Lovato loves her current look and so. Do. I.

Lovato said this for Access Hollywood on Thursday. And here’s where the Kim K part comes in: "I really credit women like Beyonce and Kim Kardashian… [they] completely revolutionized what our generation's view of perception of what beautiful is and I really think that they had a huge impact on that.”

The line-up for MTV's VMAs has been announced, and now it's time to take bets as to whether this year will serve as any less controversial than last year, following the infamous 'Miley-gate' incident. The performing artists include Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande Usher, 5 Seconds of Summer, Maroon 5, Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Sam Smith.

Cue the “no longer On The Run” jokes, as Beyonce and Jay Z are off the hook for their 2013 trip to Cuba. The Treasury Department’s Office of Inspector General  released a nine-page report on Wednesday, detailing its decision that Beyonce Knowles-Carter and Shawn Carter did NOT violate any laws, when they traveled to the country last year to celebrate their wedding anniversary.

It's ok, the Carters got the "all clear" from the treasury department.

In April 2013, the Carters’ trip to Cuba sparked widespread controversy. Because of the US embargo, tourism to the country is permitted only under a special license. Suspicions were raised that the couple’s visit to the island nation was in fact illegal – because the two engaged in recreational activities such as a welcome dinner, a walking tour of various Cuban neighborhoods and visits to see student artwork and theater performances, the couple were accused of violating the terms of their educational exchange permit. The story got such wide coverage, that Jay Z was prompted to pen an open letter to his critics and mention the incident in a song (also titled Open Letter). In the song, the rapper implied that he and Beyonce had received clearance from the POTUS himself, although the White House later denied giving permission. The new report rebuffs all claims that the Carters' trip violated the embargo.
