Hugh Jackman and Stephen Colbert have been announced as some of the big name hosts of next month’s Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park.

The Global Citizen Festival, which was launched in 2012 as part of 15 year campaign to end extreme poverty worldwide by 2030, made the announcement via its website on Thursday morning (August 13th).

Salma Hayek, Olivia Wilde, Kerry Washington and Deborra-Lee Furness, Jackman’s wife, have also been confirmed as emcees for the free-ticket event which takes place in Central Park on September 26th this year.

Nicki Minaj is not happy with the MTV Video Music Award nominations. The 32-year-old singer took to Twitter to complain about two of her music videos not receiving enough recognition. Her collaboration with Beyoncé, ‘Feeling Myself’, was completely missed out from nominations and her ‘Anaconda’ video didn’t get a nomination in the Best Video or Choreography categories.

Jay-Z could be about to suffer some major embarrassment with his streaming service Tidal, as his wife Beyoncé is among the artists whose music could get removed from the platform if a deal isn't reached with record company Sony.

Beyonce's music could soon be gone from Tidal.

According to a report by Bloomberg Businessweek Sony is threatening to pull all of its artists' music from Tidal including that of Beyoncé who one of the compnay’s co-owners. Bloomberg reports that sources have said Jay-Z is yet to reach a deal on a streaming contract with Sony and the record company is reportedly asking for "large advances" in return for giving Tidal the rights to feature its artists' catalogues.

Two weeks after her mother Tina Knowles tied the knot with Richard Lawson, Beyoncé has shared intimate snaps from the big day, showing off her not one but two bridesmaids dresses. Bey's mother Tina married the 68 year old actor on board a yacht on April 12th, surrounded by the couple’s friends and family.

The much discussed Tidal revolution seems to already be taking effect. Having purchased the new streaming service as part of a joint venture and re-launching it as an “artist friendly” business model, Jay Z has removed his 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt from Spotify.

The rapper removed his album overnight between Monday and Tuesday, and it is currently unavailable to stream in the US and Canada. It is, for the moment, still accessible for UK users. Instead, North American fans can find it on – you guessed it – Tidal.

Rihanna has dropped a brand new track, the poetically titled American Oxygen, and in the process, declared her allegiance for Jay Z's new streaming service, Tidal. The track is Rihanna's take on the "American dream," but you've probably guessed this from the title already.

Rihanna has also stepped up in support of Jay Z's new service.

The news here is that Rihanna, just like Beyonce before her and Madonna before that has lent her support for Jay Z's artist-friendly alternative to services like Spotify. On Saturday, Beyoncé also debuted her new track Die With You exclusively on the site. American Oxygen is only available to Tidal subscribers, whose numbers are still disappointingly small. Maybe it's the $10 subscription fee?

Destiny's Child. Stellar Awards. Guys. It happened. The former R&B trio didn't tease their reunion or reveal they were planning anything at all, they just made it happen on Saturday night. Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams took the stage together at Las Vegas' Orleans Arena to perform Williams' Say Yes. Beyoncé and Rowland previously collaborated on the studio version of Williams' single, an EDM-inspired reimagining of the Nigerian gospel song When Jesus Says Yes.

Michelle Williams won big last night - and she had some supportive friends there to back her.

The song was nominated for three Stellar awards, including Urban/Inspiration Single of the Year, Music Video of the Year and Song of the Year, with Williams picking up an extra nod in the Female Vocalist of the Year category for her gospel album Journey to Freedom.

His critical comments have not been well received by Beyoncé's fans who have taken to social media to express their outrage.

Jay-Z is apparently involved in a legal battle concerning his alleged fathering of a love child over twenty years ago. According to the National Enquirer, leaked court documents suggest that Rymir Satterthwaite, a 21 year old aspiring rapper from New Jersey, filed a request for Hova to undertake a paternity test to prove or disprove that he is his father.

Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, successfully fought against this suit five years ago, but in December 2014 a paralegal named Lillie Coley, believed to be Satterthwaite’s legal guardian, filed evidence that the rapper had submitted false information to the court to get out of taking the test.

The track, entitled ‘Single Loser (Put A Beck On It)’, appeared on SoundCloud late on Thursday. It is discoverable under the artist profile name ‘Beckyonce Knowles-Hansen’, and consists of the vocals of Bey’s 2008 smash hit ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’ set to the music of rocker’s 1994 breakthrough single ‘Loser’.

After creating another publicity firestorm at the Grammys over the weekend, Kanye West has sought to clarify what he meant and taken back some of the things he said about Beck.

So there’s SXSW for the hipsters, Coachella for the fashionable crowd… and then there’s the Global Citizen music festival, which has a different vibe altogether. Held in Central Park, the third annual event featured the likes of Beyonce, Jay Z, Alicia Keys, No Doubt, Sting and fun. The star-packed festival is free to attend and sets itself the ambitious goal of “erasing poverty by 2030.”

After their On The Run success, Bey and Jay graced the Central Park stage in honor of a good cause.

So here’s how it works. The acts all performed for free, with brief speeches by the likes of Jessica Alba, Hugh Jackman and Olivia Wilde speaking in between performances. It was an exercise in raising awareness and putting pressure on world leaders to enact more effective policies on equality. Attendees were also encouraged to take the pledge, which would earn them points to put towards VIP entry.

Beyonce gave fans at her Paris concert an extra special treat on Friday night when rapper Nicki Minaj joined her on stage for a rendition of their duet ‘Flawless’. The performance marked the first time the pair had appeared on stage together, despite releasing the duet last month.

Too often it seems like we get only examples of girl hate in media, but Demi Lovato is generally one to spread positivity and support for her fellow female celebs. Miss Lovato did not disappoint when speaking about Kim Kardashian recently. The former Disney girl, who has been very public about her own struggles with an eating disorder, spoke out against restrictive beauty standards in media, saying: "When I was growing up and when I was a pre-teen, the people that I had to look up to [for] body image [were] extremely underweight … [They] were all very bony at that time and that was the in thing.”

Cue the “no longer On The Run” jokes, as Beyonce and Jay Z are off the hook for their 2013 trip to Cuba. The Treasury Department’s Office of Inspector General  released a nine-page report on Wednesday, detailing its decision that Beyonce Knowles-Carter and Shawn Carter did NOT violate any laws, when they traveled to the country last year to celebrate their wedding anniversary.

In April 2013, the Carters’ trip to Cuba sparked widespread controversy. Because of the US embargo, tourism to the country is permitted only under a special license. Suspicions were raised that the couple’s visit to the island nation was in fact illegal – because the two engaged in recreational activities such as a welcome dinner, a walking tour of various Cuban neighborhoods and visits to see student artwork and theater performances, the couple were accused of violating the terms of their educational exchange permit. The story got such wide coverage, that Jay Z was prompted to pen an open letter to his critics and mention the incident in a song (also titled Open Letter). In the song, the rapper implied that he and Beyonce had received clearance from the POTUS himself, although the White House later denied giving permission. Ok, overly enthusiastic music fans everywhere need to reel it in fast, because this is getting ridiculous. A man reportedly had his finger bitten at Beyonce and Jay Z’s On The Run gig in at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, after he confronted another attendee for groping his girlfriend. Following the bizarre sequence of events, Roberto Alcaraz-Garnica, 25, of San Diego was arrested for sexual battery and mayhem. Here’s how the scuffle allegedly came about.

The power couple have not acknowledged the incident.

“The suspect sexually assaulted the female victim,” Lieutenant John Luna of the Pasadena Police Department told TheWrap Sunday. “The woman's boyfriend confronted the alleged groper, and a fight ensued. During the altercation, the suspect bit the victim, causing serious injury to his finger.”

Beyoncé's wardrobe will soon be available for your viewing pleasure.

Several outfits that the 32 year-old has performed in will go on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum even though she hasn't been inducted yet.

On Friday (July 18th), the Rock Hall announced that clothes Beyoncé wore during her Super Bowl performance and music videos will be put in an exhibit, debuting next Tuesday in the Ahmet Ertegun Main Exhibit Hall in its Legends of Rock section.

Feeling glum because you didn't manage to get tickets to see Beyoncé and Jay Z present their "On The Run" world tour? Well, worry not: HBO will be bringing the couple's eagerly anticipated live shows to the small screen after taping their two French concerts. While it may not be the same as being there in the throng, HBO's coverage should be the next best thing.

"This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO," said HBO programming president Michael Lombardo. "It's going to be a night to remember," via Variety. HBO announced the exciting news on Thursday (10th July) at the Television Critics Association summer tour.

The footage will reportedly be filmed during the Parisian leg of the tour - the pair's only European appearances - on the 12th and 13th September.

Whoever was in charge of the captioning at last night's BET Awards should hang their head in shame after they misspelled the name of the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award, Lionel Richie. During the televised coverage of the Black Entertainment Television Awards on Sunday night (29th June), which was watched by millions around the world, the broadcasting team managed to spell Richie's surname as "Ritchie."

Sure, plenty of worse things could have happened, but it's still a pretty embarrassing move considering Richie was practically the guest of honor at the bash. To make matters worse, the mistake flashed on the screen in large lettering as the 65 year-old soul star headed to collect his prize.

Soon the hashtag "#lionelritchie" began trending on Twitter as viewers picked up on the blunder and quickly spread the news leading to embarrassment for the show's production team.

Beyoncé and Jay Z have kicked off their eagerly-anticipated On The Run world tour in Miami, with an inaugural performance taking place on Wednesday night (25th June). At the Sun Life stadium, the hip-hop couple treated fans to an explosive joint performance and a starry night to remember.

The 'Sweet Dreams' singer's frequent outfit changes were the talk of the evening, with an array of risqué new costumes showcased to dazzling effect. After appearing onstage dressed in a Versace fishnet bodysuit complete with matching balaclava, Bey swapped into a denim playsuit, a Versace leotard and a dominatric-style leather suit.

Beyoncé and Solange Knowles have been pictured together for the first time since the embarrassing and disturbing bust-up between Beyoncé's little sister and husband Jay Z in an elevator after the Met Gala earlier this month.

Leaked footage showed Solange, who is also a pop star, lashing out at the rapper whilst he shielded himself but did not hit back. The group's bodyguard hit the emergency stop button and hauled Solange away from Jay Z with Beyoncé demurely avoiding the melee.

Surveillance footage seemingly shows a tuxedo clad Jay-Z being kicked and punched by Solange before the two security men accompanying the pair forcibly hauled Solange away from the rapper. We’re still not sure what the disagreement was about and, although the pair and Beyoncé have released a statement, they did not allude to the reasons behind the fight.

Beyonce has gone from having the most outwardly perfect family life to being embroiled in some sort of Jerry Spring family feud. Here are the facts. The story of how Solange Knowles attacked Jay Z after the Met Gala was bizarre enough on its own, but it sounds even stranger since Rihanna’s name was mentioned. According to the New York Daily News, the younger Knowles sister lashed out at her brother in law after he said he was going to Rihanna’s after party without his wife. Apparently the tension had been brewing for a while, but it boiled over when Solange, Beyonce and Jay Z entered the now infamous Standard Hotel elevator.

The internet is a funny place today. Unless you've been living under a rock you've heard all about Solange Knowles and Jay-Z getting in one heck of a scuffle in a lift at the Standard Hotel after the Met Gala. No-one's quite sure what went down, but we do know that Solange launched herself at the rapper before being dragged off him by a man who appears to be a bodyguard.

The video was obtained by TMZ, and shows Solange clearly trying to attack her brother-in-law and father of her niece, Blue Ivy. Now, all that everyone is interested in is what provoked Solange's outburst. The footage has no audio, which has led to a global internet campaign to guess what it was that Jay Z may have said to the singer. Solange Knowles' relationship with her brother-in-law Jay Z has become the subject of intense public scrutiny today as yet another celebrity family's dirty laundry was aired for the entire world to see. Well, sort of: the soul singer set upon the rapper and husband to her sister Beyoncé behind what she thought were the closed doors of an elevator whilst descending from a post-Met Gala soiree.

After A Night At The Met Gala, Jay Z Was Attacked By Beyoncé's Sister, Solange.

The footage shows the 27 year-old mother-of-one lashing out at Jay Z with both her arms and legs as the group's bodyguard attempts to pull her away. Jay Z doesn't make any move to hit back at Solange, rather he pushes her legs away from his chest when she aims high with a stiletto-footed kick. Solange's limbs reach their target on more than one occasion, prompting the bodyguard to hit what looks like the emergency stop button to prevent the scene spilling out in front of the waiting paps.

In what promises to be some of the most exciting gigs of the summer, Mr and Mrs Carter ie Beyonce and Jay-Z are teaming up together for the 'On The Run' tour. Arguably music’s most successful couple, the 15 date tour, which is so far only reaching North America, will mark the first time the pair have hit the road together. Whilst no details have been given yet on how the actual shows are going to play out, one thing’s for sure, Beyonce and Jay-Z combined is going to make for one epic tour.

Whatever the reason behind the couple touring together, (wanting a big fat payday, wanting to spend time together or most likely both), we can be certain that Beyonce and Jay-Z are going to put on one heck of a show together. If Beyonce’s solo 'Mrs Cater Show' world tour is anything to go by expect a massive production that will surely only get bigger with Hova onboard. As for Jay-Z, he loves the combined tour gimmick. Last year he hit the road with Justin Timberlake for the 'Legends of Summer' tour and previously he teamed with Kanye West for the 'Watch the Throne' tour.

They had to do it, just had to. Following weeks of speculation and radio silence on their end, Beyonce and Jay Z have finally announced their joint summer tour dates. The powerhouse couple are planning to go on a 16-city On the Run tour, and tickets have already been made available to a select few. Members of Beyonce’s fan club will be the first to be able to purchase tickets starting Tuesday, April 29 at 8 a.m., followed by Chase debit and credit customers at 10 a.m.

The biggest couple in music are uniting for the summer tour of all summer tours.

According to Variety, Jay and Bey’s Run will start in Miami, at the Sun Life Stadium on June 25^th. They will close the tour with a gig in San Francisco – August 5^th at AT&T Park. The general public will have their shot at the tickets on Friday, May 2 through Live Nation’s website and mobile app.

Music's biggest power couple, Beyoncé and Jay Z, have officially announced which cities they will be heading to this coming summer.

Hip-hop's royal pair confirmed they will be co-headlining the 'On The Run' tour, which will be hitting at least 16 cities across North America, kicking things off on June 25th Miami's Sun Life Stadium.

The married duo will also be stopping off in Philadelphia, Houston, Toronto, Chicago and Winnipeg, Canada, before finishing up on August 5th in San Francisco's AT&T Park.
