Charlie Simpson's new single 'Cemetery' will be released on October 31st; it is taken from the Top 10 album 'Young Pilgrim', which was released in August 2011 and is the follow up to the singles 'Down Down Down' and 'Parachutes'.
The video for Cemetery sees Charlie managing a simple fruit stall that he set up in the middle of a winding country road, unaware of the speeding yellow car that's heading towards him. The video also shows Charlie and his backing band singing the infectious song further down the same road.
Charlie's debut, Young Pilgrim, follows a successful career in two bands: Fightstar and Busted. The latter was formed in 2003 and scored a number of chart hits in the UK, including the songs 'What I Go To School For' and 'Year 3000'. Charlie left Busted in 2005 to focus on his musically different band Fightstar, prompting Busted to split.
Charlie announced his first UK solo tour would kick off in October in St. Pancras Station in London. The full dates are below:
