He's on a break! The former 'Friends' star and his wife of six years, Zoe Buckman, have announced they're to spend some time apart.
Former ‘Friends’ star Schwimmer, 50, met 31 year old British photographer Buckman on the set of the 2007 movie Run Fatboy Run, and they’ve been together for 10 years, tying the knot in June 2010 in small private ceremony. A year later, they welcomed their daughter, Cleo.

Starring in one of the most-loved sitcoms in history wasn't easy.
Becoming a major star in an internationally adored TV show may sound like a dream come true, but everyone knows that fame isn't all it's cracked up to be. Nobody knows this from than 'Friends' star David Schwimmer, who confessed that his rise to celebrity changed the way he saw the world.
David Schwimmer talks about fame struggles
It's not easy to maintain peace and privacy when you're a celebrity, and to some people that may be a small price to pay for the benefits that come with that lifestyle. But what happens when the essence of anonymity is how you're used to living your life? David Schwimmer revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he became almost reclusive after 'Friends' took off.

Fans didn't get their long-hoped for new episode, however
The much anticipated reunion of everyone’s favourite 1990s sitcom stars finally arrived with the cast of Friends getting back together for NBC’s Tribute to James Burrows on Sunday. All of the Friends minus Matthew Perry, at least.
Jennifer Aniston led the tribute to James Burrows alongside her Friends co-stars
The drama premieres tonight at 9pm on BBC Two.
‘The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story’ premieres tonight (February 15th) in the UK on BBC Two at 9pm and it’s one drama you certainly won’t want to miss. Already a critical hit in the US, the series comes from the team behind ‘American Horror Story’ and boasts a star-studded cast guiding you through one of the most famous cases in American legal history.
Cuba Gooding Jr stars as O.J. Simpson.
The show's casting director told The Huffington Post that she came very close to securing the former Beatle to play Ross's father-in-law.
In a new interview with The Huffington Post, the NBC show’s casting director Leslie Litt revealed that she tried extremely hard to get the ex-Beatle to star as Ross’ would-be father-in-law in a 1998 episode, but it conflicted too much with his recording and touring schedule for him to fit in.
Litt envisaged McCartney as playing Ross’s (David Schwimmer) English fiancée Emily’s (Helen Baxendale) father in the two-part finale to season 4.

Kris Jenner thinks Selma Blair and David Schwimmer, the actors who will play her and her former husband Robert Kardashian in 'American Crime Story', are "great".
Kris Jenner approves of David Schwimmer and Selma Blair in the roles of her former husband, Robert Kardashian, and herself. The two actors will star as Kardashian and Jenner in the upcoming anthology series, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

'American Crime Story' is directed by Ryan Murphy, also responsible for 'American Horror Story', and includes David Schwimmer, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Sarah Paulson.
John Travolta has signed on to star in a new true crime anthology series for FX next year concerning the infamous O. J. Simpson trial. ‘American Crime Story’ is set to debut in 2016, and the momentous trial will be the subject of its first season.
The former Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction star will play the part of Robert Shapiro, Simpson’s attorney. He’ll be starring alongside a host of already confirmed names such as Cuba Gooding Jr., David Schwimmer, Sarah Poulson and Selma Blair, according to the Associated Press.

10 years on we look at what it was that made TV series 'Friends' so special.
We’re feeling pretty nostalgic (and old) because it’s been ten years since the final episode of Friends aired. We’d sort of been getting by on the hope that a reunion episode would take place, but mean Matt LeBlanc ruined that dream. The actor, who played Joey, recently said: “That show was about a finite period of time in life, after college and before your relationship and family starts and where your friends are your support system. That’s what the magic of the show was - everyone goes through that and can relate to that.”

That wasn’t the only magic that Friends had. The reason that the show was so popular for so long was a combination of a dozen or so factors that just worked. The chemistry between the cast was palpable, you could just tell that Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox were best friends in real life and that translated onto their onscreen friendship.

It's a tale of transvestite prostitutes, burglary and knife crime that only David Schwimmer could solve. Sort of.
Ross Gellar AKA The Divorce Force, has been helping the NYPD solve crimes. Alright, alright, it was David Schwimmer, the actor who played Ross Gellar who has been helping the NYPD solve crimes. But come on, when an actor plays one role for 10 years they sort of become one and the same, so it’s not really our fault we find it hard to differentiate. We’re also still grieving the end of the series and it makes us feel better to think that Ross is still out there, solving crimes. We particularly like thinking that he may have become some sort of secret palaeontologist detective.
David Schwimmer played Ross Gellar in Friends for ten seasons of the show
So, what actually happened then? Well, three men were apparently involved in some sort of altercation in a New York City apartment. Ross, sorry, David lives in the apartment block and his security camera picked up the whole thing. The tape taken from Schwimmer’s security camera assisted in the arrest of Robert Rainey, who has been charged with assault over the incident, as well as robbery and possession of a weapon.

What would FRIENDS have been like if these actors had won the roles instead of the iconic cast?
Who could possibly imagine anyone other than Courteney Cox donning a fat suit for the iconic Monica dance? Would Ross and Rachel have been suitably odd, yet totally perfect together if anyone other than David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston had bagged the roles? To join our ‘Alternate Cast’ series we take a look a selection of other actors who tried out for the roles of the much-loved FRIENDS cast.
Can you imagine anyone other than Jennifer Aniston playing Rachel?
American movie star Tea Leoni was believed to be the producers’ first choice to play Rachel Green. However, Tea passed on the role and went on to star in The Naked Truth. The show only ran for three seasons but allowed Tea a lead role as opposed to FRIENDS, where she would have had to share the limelight with five other actors. She’s since gone onto to star in a string of Hollywood films, so we don’t think she suffered too much from turning down Rachel.
'The One Where They Reunite': will there ever be an end to the rumour of a 'Friends' reunion?
The rumour of the Friends 2014 return is doing the rounds again and seems to be as unfounded as ever. Fake reunion movie and episode posters are once again circling the internet and simultaneously driving hardcore Friends fans wild as well as provoking a collective cry of "just let it go already!!"
The 'Friends' Reunion Rumours Seem To Be Unfounded For Now.
Fans of the show are divided into two camps: those who salivate at every tidbit of reunion gossip, ready to jump back on the sofa for those first jangly strains of 'I'll Be There For You,' and those who for whatever reason, feel the franchise is best left at its rather neat finale which aired in May 2004 and are perfectly content with their Burj Khalifa-rivalling skyscraper of all ten Friends box sets.

Much more involving than the usual hitman thriller, this film takes a deliberately personal approach to its characters that makes it unusually involving. Of course, since it's a film about mafia assassins, none of the characters are hugely likeable. But we're able to identify with them because the cast and crew help us see their souls. And of course, this kind of character brings out the best in Michael Shannon.
He plays Richie, who in the early 1960s has settled down with his new wife Deborah (Ryder) in New Jersey. She thinks his job involves dubbing Disney cartoons, but his projects are actually part of an illicit mob-run porn network. And when local boss Roy (Liotta) asks Richie to work as his henchman, Richie proves to be surprisingly adept at murder. This is mainly because he's so good at compartmentalising his life: keeping his family and work completely separate. But when things with Roy start turning sour, and Richie turns to a rival killer (Evans) for more work, Richie's two worlds begin to collide.
Based on a true story, the film is chilling in its matter-of-fact depiction of a family man who ruthlessly bumps off anyone who falls afoul of the mob. And as the clashes in Richie's life begin to escalate into something personal, the film cranks up the tension to unbearable levels. Shannon is mesmerising in the role, letting us see cracks in Richie's dispassionate surface as he's required to kill friends and colleagues (including Franco in a memorable cameo). So when his wife and daughters are threatened, he's like a tamed wild animal pushed into the corner. We know what he's capable of doing to protect them.

Will Jennifer Aniston be bringing her cupping marks back to Central Perk?
When we first heard of these Jennifer Aniston cupping marks, we thought it was another prank, played by her playful finance, Justin Theroux. But as it turns out, the ancient Chinese practice helps circulation to neck, shoulder pain, and detoxes the body.
So when the 44-year-old Friends star hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles screening of Call Me Crazy in a backless dress, the ‘cupping marks’ were there for all to see. And despite their ample health benefits, they’re not pretty to look at. She’s not the only one though; Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham, Jessica Simpson and David Arquette are all fellow celebrity cuppers. Sounds weird. Given Theroux’s penchant for ‘trickery’, we were justified in thinking it was a prank. Well, he calls it trickery. But he’s constantly hiding behind drapes. And I’m constantly scared. It’s like it doesn’t get old on me…’ explained Aniston to Ellen DeGeneres on her show.

Well, the 'Friends' reunion was a pipe dream, but at least there's still Veronica Mars.
Did someone say “Friends reunion”? Technically, loads of people, but no one official. Sadly for all the devoted fans of the series (and there are definitely still a bunch of those around), the show’s co-creator Marta Kaufman has not only dismissed the current rumors, but she said a reunion of the 90s sitcom is never going to happen, Fox News reports. Well, that was a harsh letdown for everyone.
The buzz started earlier this week when reports surfaced that not only was a Friends reunion likely, but NBC had already confirmed the deal. There was even a photoshopped poster thrown into the mix, advertising “The One With The Reunion”, due to hit screens on Thanksgiving 2014. Kaufman, however, had this to say: “’Friends’ was about that time in your life when your friends are your family, and once you have a family, there’s no need anymore.”
According to her, now that the characters have families of their own, Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Joey and Chandler are past their coffee shop days. Even the most devoted Friends fans can probably see how that makes sense, but the nostalgia still lives on. Warner Bros. also dismissed reports that a “Friends” movie was in development, telling Zap2it there is no “Friends”-related project being worked on by the studio. Harsh. But hey, maybe that means it's time for a re-watch.

Richard Kuklinski is a contract killer who has murdered over 100 men for a variety of criminals. He's very good at his job and rarely leaves any traces behind, though his ethics extend at least to a refusal to kill a woman or a child - even if they are key witnesses to a terrible crime. Whilst earning enough as a hitman to live a more than comfortable life, he is a family man with daughters and a beautiful wife who he truly dotes upon. They have no idea about his questionable career and he intends to keep it that way, but with constant reminders that he's not the loving family man he tries so hard to be and ever more dubious jobs being put upon him, he is set to lose everything .
'The Iceman' is the true story of the real Richard Kuklinski who was arrested in 1986 after his prolific work as a hitman for several major crime rings. It has been adapted by Ariel Vromen ('Danika', 'Simple Lies'), who co-wrote the screenplay with Morgan Land ('Simple Lies'), with the story being taken from Anthony Bruno's book 'The Iceman: The True Story of a Cold-Blooded Killer' and the Jim Thebaut documentary 'The Iceman Tapes: Conversations with a Killer'. It is set to hit cinemas on June 7th 2013.

Either Courteney Cox is really going all out to drum up support for season four of Cougar Town, or the TBS comedy-drama just became a whole lot more, well, adult. Speaking at the Television Critics Association panel for the show, Cox joked, "You will not see one scene that I don't show my boobs. You know what? I'm getting older, so I've decided at this point I'm taking less focus off the face, and focusing [on my chest]. By the time I'm much older, I will just be absolutely nude. I think it's gonna work for me, I hope."
Though the comments were taken as tongue-in-cheek, there may be truth in what the former Friends actress promised for Cougar Town. During an upcoming episode, the actress and on-screen love interest Josh Hopkins strip down during a "naked day" to spice up their marriage. "I did know in advance [but] I did not take advantage of the time I had to know," she told Us Weekly about preparing for the nude scenes. "Lighting is everything! I'm not kidding. You could walk into a room and go, 'Wow! I look great today.' And one step further, you're like, 'Oh my God, I look horrible!"
Only time will tell whether Cougar Town has maintained its popularity, though Cox has a couple of tricks up her sleeve as insurance should the ratings slip. She's already roped in her former Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston in past seasons, though reveals she's working on doing something with Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer. "I'd love to see the rest of the cast," she said, adding, "I catch re-runs of Friends and I don't remember even being there. I'm like, 'That is funny!"
Instead of developing the characters or situations for comedy gold, the filmmakers instead just crank up the chaos. So while some scenes are both funny and visually impressive, this second sequel is simply too inane to make us hope there will be a part 4. Very young kids may be distracted by the hectic pacing and hyperactive characters, but everyone else will quickly be bored by the nonstop mayhem, simply because there's nothing interesting going on.
Anxious lion Alex (Stiller), chatty zebra Marty (Rock), nerdy giraffe Melman (Schwimmer) and silly hippo Gloria (Smith) are living a Lion King-style existence in Africa, although their only hope for escape has just flown away. Namely, the brainy penguins and their monkey assistants. So our heroes follow them to Monaco, where they all end up on the run from the notorious animal control agent Dubois (McDormand). They run straight into a failing circus, which they set out to bring back to its glory days so they can catch the eye of an American promoter and go home to New York. To do this means working with the current circus acts: sultry cheetah Gia (Chastain), dorky sea lion Stefano (Short) and tetchy tiger Vitaly (Cranston).
The circus premise lets the filmmakers have a lot of visual fun with the characters, most notably in a riotously colourful Cirque du Soleil-on-acid performance in London. But the plot makes no sense at all (if they can get to Monaco, surely they could get to New York, right?), and there are so many new characters that the central quartet feels almost sidelined. Especially since they've also wedged in an under-developed romance for the lemur king (Baron Cohen). Yes, it's all over the place, and being busy is not the same thing as being clever or funny.

After escaping to Africa from Madagascar, Alex the lion; Gloria the hippo; Melman the giraffe and Marty the zebra decide it's time to head back to New York once and for all. Unfortunately, they have to rely on the penguins - Skipper; Kowalski; Rico and Private - and the two chimpanzees, Mason and Phil and their combined mechanical knowledge, to get them back home. Nothing can go wrong this time, though, can it?
Jeff Daniels and Joan Allen play a miserable suburban couple whose marriage is disrupted by an accidental shooting in their living room at midnight. As it turns out, the guy was Daniels' business partner. Allen moves out in disgust and, through a process of self-discovery, figures out that her happy little life was nothing more than a middle class prison. She hides away at her new workplace, in the employ of eccentric millionaire and computer guru Gary Sinise. Daniels sits at home fuming, renting pornography and playing with his gun.
