The latest in the franchise has impressed child audiences watching the Disney Channel
The newest arrival of the Star Wars story landed at the beginning of October and it landed in style with Star Wars Rebels enchanting audiences all over the world. Launching on the Disney Channel on October 3, the opening two-part story, Spark of Rebellion, pulled in 6.5 million viewers worldwide.

So good has this new Star Wars offering proved already that it has in fact been renewed for a second season.
Here in the UK, the series will continue from Thursday October 16 at 5:30pm on Disney XD and will new episodes will premiere every Thursday throughout the month.
Star Wars Rebels takes place between Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope which spans approximately two decades.

In the Rebels, the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and is determined to hunt down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire starts to take shape.
The Lucasfilm animated production has been created by Filoni, Simon Kinberg and Carrie Beck and voice stars Freddie Prinze Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Tiva Sircar, Taylor Gray, David Ovelowo and Jason Issacs.

The show has already attracted a huge boy fan base but is also aiming to pull in a young and enthusiastic female audience while perhaps hoping to tap into some nostalgic adults too.
