Kelly Rutherford has claimed that her relaxed lifestyle is the key to her youthful appearance.
Kelly Rutherford's "peaceful" lifestyle has helped her to maintain her youthful appearance.
The 55-year-old actress - who played Lily van der Woodsen on 'Gossip Girl' - believes that her relaxed lifestyle is the key to her age-defying appearance.
Kelly told DailyMail.com: "Most of it is really just lifestyle, I think.
"I mean, obviously some of it is genetics with all of us, and I think a lot of it is lifestyle.
"You know, I kind of keep most things in moderation. I think a lot of it is just not putting ourselves under so much pressure in terms of ageing."
The actress recognises the importance of health eating. However, she isn't obsessive about her diet, either.
Kelly explained: "I think when you finally just kind of go, I'm going to eat the croissant and have the coffee, and I'm going to enjoy my life and I'm not going to worry about it so much, it helps a lot."
The 'Melrose Place' star has also stressed the importance of "visualising how you want to look and how you want to feel".
Kelly shared: "I think the thing is just being at peace, and, you know, visualising how you want to look and how you want to feel and how you want to project into the world."
Kelly already has more than one million followers on Instagram, and she enjoys using the platform to showcase her fashion choices.
The actress admitted that she loves to indulge her passion for fashion on the photo-sharing platform.
She recently told British Vogue: "I’ve always loved fashion. I’ve always loved the cinema of it - this idea that we can change our mood or our identities by what we put on."
