Latitude Festival has announced its initial line-up for 2012. Due to headline will be Bon Iver; Elbow and Paul Weller. This year, the seventh Latitude Festival will take place from 12-15th July, at Henham Park in Suffolk.
Bon Iver started 2012 on a high, when they won two Grammy Awards for their second studio album, Bon Iver, Bon Iver. The band picked up Best New Artist and Best Alternative Music Album. Both Bon Iver, Bon Iver and their debut album, For Emma, Forever Ago, which was released in 2007, received critical acclaim. This will also be Bon Iver's only UK festival appearance this year.
Meanwhile, Elbow's most recent album, Build A Rocket Boys!, was released in 2011 and reached number 2 in the UK Album Charts, the highest position of all the band's albums to date. They will also be recording the theme for the BBC's coverage of the London 2012 Olympics, according to the broadcasting corporation.
Paul Weller will be releasing his eleventh solo studio album, Sonik Kicks, in March 2012. His successful career has spanned almost four decades, with his bands The Jam and The Style Council. He is also known as 'The Modfather', as he is associated with the Mod movement of the 1970s and 1980s.
In addition to music, there will also be comedy acts; including Tim Minchin; Reginald D Hunter; Lee Nelson; Russell Kane; The Inbetweeners' Greg Davies and former D:Ream keyboardist turned physicist Brian Cox.
