McConnell was jailed for 18 weeks after breaching the terms of the community service order handed to him back in August.
Jeremy McConnell has been sent to prison after violating the terms of his 12 month sentence – by flying to Turkey in order to get a hair transplant.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star, 27, was jailed for 18 weeks by a judge at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Thursday (November 23rd) for skipping on the terms of his suspended sentence.
Back in August, the Irish-born model had been given the suspended sentence of 20 weeks in prison, plus 200 hours of community service, by a judge at Liverpool Magistrates Court for attacking his former girlfriend and mother of his son, Stephanie Davis, at an address in Rainhill on Merseyside back on March 10th.

However, McConnell had flouted the terms of that arrangement, skipping on scheduled community service in order to jet to Turkey to receive a hair and beard transplant – as well as new teeth.
He was even idiotic enough to show off the results of the transplant via Snapchat last week, going as far as advertising the resort at which he had had the treatment done, writing: “It’s @hairofistanbul people messaging.”

It was claimed by his representative that McConnell had actually agreed time off from his court-assigned community service in order to receive the treatment. “Jeremy has taken some agreed leave from his community service, to visit Turkey for some minor cosmetic treatments," his rep said.
The jail sentence means that McConnell will be spending this Christmas behind bars – also missing his 10 month old son Caben-Albi’s first Christmas.
He and former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Stephanie Davis endured a tumultuous on/off relationship for just over a year, having met on 2016’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and then welcoming their only child in January 2017.
