All Saints are back with their first new album since 2009 and let’s hope this time around the foursome are getting along better. Appearing on ‘Alan Carr Chatty Man’, the group’s members, Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis and sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton, revealed the real reason behind their initial split in 2001, saying they ‘kind of hated each other’.

“We just weren’t really getting on any more and we kind of hated each other so we just thought ‘f**k it, let’s stop,’” said Melanie. “Which was the right thing to do, I think,” Shaznay added. “We didn’t do it for the money. We didn’t carry on for the money like some bands even though they hated each other,” Melanie then continued.

All Saints Confirm 2014 Reunion With Backstreet Boys Support Slot

All Saints

Shaznay Lewis, Melanie Blatt, Natalie and Nicole Appleton are just people on their own, but together, they’re 90s hum-along, see-on-Top-of-The-Pops-2-and-think-you’re-old girl band All Saints. And now they’re back, again.

All Saints came at a time when The Spice Girls dominated the girlband scene, but offered up a ‘cool’ alternative. It’s funny, in hindsight, to reconsider what cool actually means. After storming the UK charts in the 90s, the early 00s saw them break up.
