Girl group All Saints perform on the third day of Bingley Music Live, Myrtle Park, Bingley, United Kingdom - Sunday 4th September 2016
The girl group called it quits in 2001, but are now back with new album ‘Red Flag’.
All Saints are back with their first new album since 2009 and let’s hope this time around the foursome are getting along better. Appearing on ‘Alan Carr Chatty Man’, the group’s members, Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis and sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton, revealed the real reason behind their initial split in 2001, saying they ‘kind of hated each other’.
All Saints are back with new album Red Flag.
“We just weren’t really getting on any more and we kind of hated each other so we just thought ‘f**k it, let’s stop,’” said Melanie. “Which was the right thing to do, I think,” Shaznay added. “We didn’t do it for the money. We didn’t carry on for the money like some bands even though they hated each other,” Melanie then continued.
The 90s girl group first disbanded in 2001, but reunited again in 2014.

All Saints, Atomic Kitten and East 17 have called off their upcoming Another Time Another Place tour.
All Saints will not be heading out on tour with Atomic Kitten and East 17
The Another Time, Another Place tour was set to be headlined by All Saints and feature Jenny Breggren from Ace of Base, Let Loose and Big Brovaz alongside East 17 and Atomic Kitten. No word has been given yet on why the eight date tour has been called off, but Ticketmaster has listed the dates as cancelled and the official tour website has been shut down. The only comment so far has been from Ticketmaster who told a fan on Twitter, “Yes, the tour has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, sorry. All affected customers will be contacted shortly!’’ The shows were scheduled to take place in November and would visit Glasgow, Sheffield and Manchester, as well as London’s O2 Arena on November 19th.
All Saints are back. It's the return of the 90s!
Shaznay Lewis, Melanie Blatt, Natalie and Nicole Appleton are just people on their own, but together, they’re 90s hum-along, see-on-Top-of-The-Pops-2-and-think-you’re-old girl band All Saints. And now they’re back, again.
“We are really looking forward to performing together as guests of the Backstreet Boys on their tour. We can't wait,” they said in a statement announcing their reunion. "We're singing a lot of big songs like Never Ever and Pure Shores which will be amazing.”
All Saints came at a time when The Spice Girls dominated the girlband scene, but offered up a ‘cool’ alternative. It’s funny, in hindsight, to reconsider what cool actually means. After storming the UK charts in the 90s, the early 00s saw them break up.
