The 'Celebrity Big Brother' host doesn't think the former White House advisor was as badly affected as she made out.
The first season of 'Celebrity Big Brother' in the United States is without a doubt one of the most interesting seasons the series has ever seen. The contestants are made up of a whole bunch of different men and women from the entertainment industry, including reality TV veteran turned White House advisor Omarosa, as well as TV host Ross Mathews and actor/musician James Maslow.
Julie Chen hosts 'Celebrity Big Brother' in the US
Julie Chen is hosting the series, as she does with the regular civilian 'Big Brother' US, and recently commented on the asthma attack suffered by Omarosa following her taking part in a Power of Veto competition within the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house. The attack was severe enough that Omarosa was pulled from the house into hospital to be treated overnight before returning to the game, but Chen has opened up about the situation, and doesn't think it was as bad as it all seemed.

Chen reckons Jenny being hired by The View was a "mistake.'
Another talkshow spat has broken out: this time between Julie Chen, Jenny McCarthy after the CBS daytime host of The Talk shared her strong opinions about the newly hired co-host on The View.
Julie Chen Has Some Pretty Strong Opinions About Jenny McCarthy.

On Thursday's (12 Sept.) edition of 'The Talk' the co-host revealed the moment, and relationship, that helped her come to terms with her sexuality
Sara Gilbert's sexuality hasn't been a secret since she publicly came out of the closet in 2010, with many aware of the fact that she is a lesbian long before her public announcement. However the journey she took to get to where she is as a confident, openly gay woman was a long and difficult one to undertake, one that was made much easier thanks to her relationship with actor Johnny Galecki.
Gilbert said that her relationship with Galecki helped her come to terms with her sexuality
Gilbert and Galecki began seeing each other when he joined the cast of Roseanne in the early 1990's. Gilbert revealed on Thursday's (12 Sept.) show that when the pair began seeing each other, things seemed to be going well but she would be left with an overwhelming sense of depression whenever the two got intimate. Through Galecki's help she gradually became aware of what her feelings meant and slowly began to come to terms with her sexuality. Her revelation came one day after The Talk co-host Julie Chen admitted that she had plastic surgery to make her eyes wider prior to finding national fame.

The TV host admitted this week that she underwent plastic surgery some 20 years ago to make her eyes wider
Julie Chen revealed one of her most closely held secrets on national television this week when she boldly announced that she had facial reconstructive surgery before she found fame. During a segment of The Talk, which she co-hosts, each of the panelist revealed their biggest secrets and Chen's was perhaps one of the most shocking of all.
Julie underwent the surgery before she found fame
The 43-year-old TV host admitted that around twenty years ago she made the conscious decision to make her "Asian eyes" look bigger for TV. On Wednesday's (11 Sept.) edition of The Talk, Chen admitted she underwent the surgery with the support of her family when she was learning her trade as a young local anchor in Dayton, Ohio. She explained on the show, "You know, my mom calls one auntie, my father calls an uncle...it spread to my entire family. It divided the family. Members of my family wanted to disown me if I got it done."

Aaryn Gries evicted, blames racism on Texas upbringing.
The latest eviction from the Big Brother house has been the most highly anticipated one, as Aaryn Gries left the reality show dwelling. The 22-year-old Texan outraged Big Brother viewers with her repeated racist and homophobic slurs on camera. She made derogatory comments against African Americans, Asian Americans and LGBT contestants on the reality program, which turned her into one of the most talked about and reviled contestants in Big Brother history.
However, upon exiting the BB house, Gries claimed in her interview with Julie Chen that she had been wrongly accused of racism: "Being Southern is a stereotype, and I have said some things that have been taken completely out of context. I do not mean ever to come off racist -- that's not me, and I apologize to everyone I've offended for that."
Her sort-of apology went largely unnoticed in a rather tense and awkward interview with host Julie Chen, who has objected to Gries’ racist remarks. And rightly so, considering that Gries called out an Asian American contestant at one point, telling her to “shut up and go make some rice.” Gries also said to a black houseguest at one point: "Be careful what you say in the dark, might not get to see the b***h."
