William Emerson "Will" Arnett (born 4.5.1970)
Will Arnett is a Canadian Actor. He starred in many plays in New York as part of his early acting life. He is most recognisable for his role as George Oscar "Gob" Bluth II on Fox comedy series Arrested Development.
Will Arnett: Childhood
Will Arnett was born in Toronto, Canada. He is the son of Edith Alexandra and Emerson James Arnett. His father graduated from Harvard University and was a CEO of Marlson Breweries, as well as a corporate lawyer.
Arnett attended Lakefield College School, after being told not to return for his troublemaking behaviour; he was accepted for acting classes at Tarragon theatre. He attended Concordia University, Montreal but dropped out after the first semester. His teenage years were influenced by acting, and his mother encouraged his auditions for Commercials in Toronto.
Will Arnett: Career
Arnett moved to New York in 1990 to study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He played roles in many small plays, and then made his debut acting role in Felicity Huffman's independent film 'Erie' in 1996.
In 1999, Arnett was cast as Jimmy on The Mike O' Malley Show for America's NBC unfortunately after two episodes the show was cancelled.
Arnett re-bounded with a role as FBI Agent, Mike Waldrup on the hit TV series The Sopranos.
In 2003, Arnett was convinced by his agent to audition for 'Arrested Development' and found mainstream success as George Oscar "Gob" Bluth II on the show. Most recognisable for his catchphrase "I've made a huge mistake". Arnett was nominated for an Emmy in 2006. Despite a cult-fan base, the show was cancelled after three seasons.
The star has had success in many small shows up until 2010 when he and co-star of Arrested Development, Jason Bateman created DumbDumb Productions company that focussed mainly on digital content.
In recent years, Arnett has turned his sights on the world of voice work for advertisements, film trailers and most recognisable for the GMC (General Motors Company) trucks adverts. He did the voice of Vlad in CGI film 'Horton Hears A Who' and Horst the German sous-chef in Disney Pixar's Ratatouille.
Will Arnett: Personal Life
Arnett shortly turned to alcoholism and declared 2000 "The darkest year of his life.". In the summer, he turned his career around.
Arnett has two children, Archibald William Emerson Arnett (born on October 25, 2008 in New York City) and Abel James Arnett (born on August 6, 2010) to actress and co-star of Arrested Development Amy Poehler, and is a die-hard fan of the Toronto Blue Rays and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Ever since the original 'Nut Job', Surly the squirrel and his animal friends have been living it up at the Nut Shop and feasting on all the peanuts they can manage. Unfortunately, that luxury isn't destined to last long and when the shop mysteriously explodes, they are forced to find another hide-out. A vista in Liberty Park is idyllic and seems like the perfect place to re-locate, the only problem is the mayor of Oakton City just wants to make as much profit as possible from his town and the Park is not raking in anything except weeds. Thus, he decides to open an amusement park on the site, only that involves bulldozing the animals' home and they can't afford to lose another sanctuary. They must do everything they can to stop this amusement park being built, but that involves enlisting the help from mouse gang leader Mr. Feng.

A spin-off from 2014's awesome The Lego Movie, this raucously paced action-comedy is proof that nonstop hilarity isn't enough. Genre fans will adore the relentless barrage of silliness, as wordplay, sight-gags, film references and elaborate jokes pile on top of each other. But it's all rather exhausting, because the story is simply too slippery for the audience to hold onto.
When we catch up with Batman (again voiced by Will Arnett), he's revelling in his lonely life surrounded by his huge collection of gadgets in the cave under Wayne Manor, where his only companion is his sardonic butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes). But an encounter with the Joker (Zach Galifianakis) gets him thinking about his solitude, and new commissioner Barbara Gordon (Rosario Dawson) wants to work with him rather than let him do everything on his own. Then he inadvertently adopts the orphan Dick (Michael Cera), just as the Joker puts into motion a nefarious plan to unleash an army of bad guys on Gotham City.
The film pings from one crazed action set-piece to the next, packing comical touches into every image and each line of dialogue. The audience has little choice but to hold on for the ride, and since it's impossible to see every gag that flies at us, this is clearly a movie that requires multiple viewings. The problem is that the story and characters aren't very inviting. Arnett's gruff whisper is genuinely hilarious, especially in his postmodern flights of fancy, but Batman is a preening idiot, really. Dawson, Cera, Fiennes and Galifianakis are more likeable, but are sidelined in the story. And the sprawling, mega-starry supporting cast offers a continual stream of solid laughs. But it's all so frantic that the sentimental themes in the story never get a chance to resonate before the script makes fun of them.

'The Lego Batman Movie' have just done a 'behind the scenes' featurette in a way that only 'The Lego Batman Movie' could, with each star opening up about their role in the film while still very much in character. We hear from the likes of Batman (described as a vigilante and Bruce Wayne's roommate), his butler Alfred Pennyworth, the new commissioner Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl, Dick Grayson aka Robin, Harley Quinn and, of course, Batman's main nemesis The Joker - who, it turns out, kinda just wants Batman to like him.
Rosario Dawson has joined the cast of ‘The Lego Batman Movie’.

Arnett will also executive produce with Mark Chappell (The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret) and he also co-created and co-wrote the series. The caped crusader who stole the show in 'The Lego Movie' earlier this year, is getting his own spin-off!
There’s no denying that Batman was the stand out character in the all around fantastic The Lego Movie earlier this year and it seems executives at Warner Bros. agree. It’s just been announced that the popular character will be getting his own spin-off movie which has even been fast tracked ahead of The Lego Movie sequel for a 2017 release.
Batman stole the show in The Lego Movie
Writing will be Seth Grahame-Smith who penned the screenplay for Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows adaptation starring Johnny Depp. Of course supervising the whole production will be Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who were originally responsible for bringing the Lego brand to life on-screen.
Yesterday the world of entertainment struggled to grasp the news, but it was nothing compared to Zelda Williams' own eloquent and touching statement, following her father's death.
Celebrities far and wide have rushed to pay tribute to Robin Williams in the wake of his suicide. This includes Conan O’Brien, who dedicated the end of his show on Monday to the brilliant comedian. The tribute was particularly raw, because O’Brien, Andy Richter and their guest of the night Will Arnett received the news during the taping of the show, so they had to react on the spot.
O'Brien reacted to the news in the moment. He was visibly distraught by the announcement.
“We tape these shows a few hours early, and by the time you see this now on TV, I’m sure that you’ll know. I’m sorry to anybody in our studio audience that I’m breaking this news—this is absolutely shocking and horrifying, and so upsetting on every level,” O’Brien was visibly trying to keep his composure at the news.
