Lil Wayne Caught On Camera Confronting Referee At Charity Basketball Match

Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne was reportedly ejected from a charity basketball game in St. Louis on Sunday evening after invading the court to begin an altercation with the referee – ironically, the event was raising money to promote non-violence in the urban areas of the city.

The 32 year old star was coaching a team of Young Money superstars from his record label against an opposition directed by the event’s organiser Loose Cannon Slim, a fellow rapper and St. Louis native. According to TMZ, Weezy became more frustrated as the game wore on, and believed that the officials were giving too many decisions towards Slim’s team.

Lil Wayne Has Lots Of Emotions, Storms Off Stage

Lil Wayne

So, um, is everything alright with Lil Wayne? His actions on Thursday night would suggest otherwise. TMZ reports that Weezy was playing a gig at Nova Southeastern University, when he allegedly threw the mic and stormed off stage, just 7 songs into the set. But what set him off is even more curious – apparently, the DJ played that O. T. Genasis song – you know, the one that’s definitely not about coconut or baking soda.

Lil Wayne
Weezy just has a lot of emotions.

See, Weezy sampled the track to use for his own dissing Cash Money purposes. Apparently the DJ got the tracks wrong. So when Lil Wayne heard O. T. Genasis rapping over what was supposed to be a clean track, he naturally got a little upset.

Drake's New Album Is Actually A Mixtape

Drake Lil Wayne Kendrick Lamar Nicki Minaj David Guetta

Canadian rap star Drake surprised the world by releasing his new album unannounced on Thursday. However, it has since been revealed that If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is a mixtape, rather than a proper studio album.

The reason for the confusion behind the new material is apparently so that Drake can fulfil a contractual obligation and free himself from Cash Money Records, according to XXL. Under copyright, the new record appears as his fourth studio album for Cash Money, thus bringing him to the end of his contract.

Lil Wayne - Krazy Single Review

In 2012, Lil Wayne made an announcement: he would officially retire from hip hop in coming years, due to having four children and wanting to spend more time with them during their younger years. His career has attracted a strong following thus far and has managed to win him 4 Grammy awards, out of 15 nominations yet his new single, 'Krazy', is unlikely to live up to that level of critique, however.

Lil Wayne - Krazy Single Review

After joining Cash Money Records in 1991 at the age of nine, Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. has spent 23 years in the hip hop world. One would think that, in that time, a person would be able to learn that words like 'soap' cannot (or should not) be awkwardly forced to rhyme with words like 'code'. Perhaps in this time, a person would also expand their vocabulary enough to not rely on using the 'n word' 18 times in a single song.

DJ Infamous handled the production of 'Krazy', perhaps owing to the rather generic beat which resonates throughout the entire track, steadily convincing you that you are suffering from tinnitus. This abhorrent chirping is coupled with a rhythmic thumping of drums and base, unfortunately making the 'music' the best part of the track.

Most rappers would give anything to work with Drake right now, but for J Cole, the sacrifice was bigger than he first thought. Having blindly agreed to rap on 'Jodeci Freestyle,' his freestyle ended up offending some, but he’s  since expressed contrition for his mistake and would like very much to just move on, according to MTV.

"In a recent verse on the song 'Jodeci Freestyle,' I said something highly offensive to people with Autism. Last week, when I first saw a comment from someone outraged about the lyric, I realized right away that what I said was wrong," Cole wrote in an apology letter to advocacy organization Autism Speaks. He posted the note on his Dreamvillian site on Sunday.

Lil Wayne 'Flag-Stomper' Update: 'God Bless America' Video Released [Video]

Lil Wayne

According to Lil Wayne "The end of time is, like, an hour away," he sings solemnly at the beginning of the new video to his latest single 'God Bless America.' Bad boy Wayne isn't exactly singing his country's praises in the song, describing the States as "Sweet land of kill 'em all and let 'em die." But what has really stuck in patriots' craw is the viral amateur video showing Wayne stepping/dancing/jumping/walking/whatever on a giant fallen US flag.

That Lil Wayne ruffled some feathers with the quickly sensationalised faux pas is an understatement; he received death threats from those who said they hoped the seizure-prone hiphop artist died.

Lil Wayne Steps On US Flag In Stomping Performance - Not The Good Kind [Video]

Lil Wayne

Rapper Lil Wayne is feeling the heat of patriotic Americans' fury after a video began to circulate showing him filming the music video for new track 'God Bless Amerika' which involves a flag falling to the floor behind him and him dancing upon it.

Once the huge flag has fallen, a crowd of motionless people are revealed standing behind Wayne, in homage to his Afro-American roots growing up in tough districts of New Orleans.

Wayne's lower body would have probably been cut out of the shot in the finished video but a filming bystander captured the moment when the 30 year-old rap star began to dance and walk all over the flaggy heap on the floor.

Is Lil Wayne Showing His True Colours By Treading On American Flag?

Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne was filmed appearing to be treading on the American flag repeatedly this weekend, with the rapper filming scenes for his anti-establishment track 'God Bless Amerika.' The footage was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday (June 16) and shows Wayne rapping in front of an American flag which is then dropped to his feet, with the rapper continuing to go about his business and repeatedly walk over the flag for the rest of the video shoot.

Weezy and his people haven't commented on the scenario yet, and currently we're not sure if his move was done in ill-taste or this was just an ill-timed shot of the rapper. The lyrics fr the song go something like this: ""My country 'tis of thee / Sweet land of kill 'em all and let 'em die / God bless Amerika / This ole' godless Amerika," it's hard to defend the rapper's actions as being unintentional and this could land the New Orleans-native in some trouble.

Mr Popularity French Montana Says (Almost) All Album Guests Worked For Free

French Montana Sean Combs Rick Ross Lil Wayne

It's good to have friends in high places, and for French Montana this was the case when it came to securing the guest spots on his upcoming debut album Excuse My French, with the rapper revealing that all but one person was willing to feature on the album for nothing. Rapper Max B, who is currently serving a prison sentence, was the only one who deemed his services to be worth paying for, with the long list of other famous rap names showing up as a favour to the Bronx rapper.

French, who has Moroccan ancestry, was speaking on MTV's RapFix Live when he gave wind of the generosity of his album features, saying that only one of the twenty three guest vocals sent him a bill for their services. His long-time friend Max B, who is currently serving a 75-year sentence in prison, was the only one to ask to be paid for his appearance on the opening track on the album, with French telling RapFix, "The only person I paid was Max B. That's about it."
