Jersey Shore star, Pauly D, has unveiled he is the father to a love child.

The DJ and reality star confirmed the news on Tuesday (22nd) and seems to be very keen on the idea of fatherhood.

"I'm proud I'm a father. I am excited to embark on this new part of my life," the 33-year-old told TODAY in a statement.

The mother to his love child is a 26 year-old Jersey native, but she met Pauly last year in Las Vegas whilst he was DJing and that is where they hooked up, reports TMZ.

The report also states the baby is four months old and lives with her mother, who filed court papers for a paternity test and DelVecchio is the biological father.

The Rhode Island native now joins cast mate Nicole 'Snookie' Polizzi as the only housemates to have had a child since the show ended. Polizzi gave birth in August 2012 to a son called Lorenzo with her fiancé, Jionni LaValle, who frequently appeared on 'Jersey Shore' with 'Snookie'.

Polizzi told E!News, "I'm so happy for Pauly." She added, "Definitely a shock to all of us, but we know Pauly the best and he's going to be an amazing father. He's so loving and caring. I can't wait for Lorenzo and her to play!"

Former co-star, Jenny 'JWoww' Farley, also told the website, "Holy s--t I just heard! I'm so f--king happy for him I just texted him. Crying! He's going to be the best dad ever!"

Pauly D, who is known for shouting "the cabs are here!" and conjuring up the phrase "GTL" (Gym, Tan, Laundry) to his fellow cast members, also received a heap of congratulation messages on twitter.

Ronnie Margo tweeting his old housemate, "@DJPaulyD HUGE Congrats 2my dude on the new #BeautifulBabyGirl #lorenzoHasAplayBuddy @snooki, I think @JENNIWOWW & @RogerMathewsNJ are next?"

It will be interesting to see who is the next to hang up their party boots in the 'Jersey Shore' gang for parenthood but as of now Pauly D deserves a huge congratulation on the revelation of his little bundle of joy.
