In an extreme attempt to get an answer to the question ‘is Jon Snow dead?’, British chat show host Jonathan Ross subjected ‘Game of Thrones’ star Kit Harington to a lie detector test when the actor was a guest on his show at the weekend.

On ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ on Saturday night (April 2nd), the 29 year old actor was rigged up to a lie detector machine combined with an electro-shock mechanism, dubbed “The Stone of Truth”, in order tell whether he was lying as the host asked him questions about the upcoming sixth series. Able to answer only with ‘Yes’, ‘No’ and ‘I know nothing’, Ross punished Harington for every answer he deemed to be unsatisfactory.

The sun beamed down on a range of A-Z-list celebs last night (August 4) as The Expendables 3 enjoyed its world premiere in London.

As well as the film’s stars, like Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas and Kellan Lutz, a bunch of celebs trampled the red carpet ahead of the film's world premiere including Jonathan Ross, who made some seriously questionable fashion choices. 

The all-out action film, currently enjoying a third outing, sees many of Hollywood’s favorite stars combine. At 68, you would think Stallone is coming to end of his stunt career. He, on the other hand, has different ideas.

Following Tom Daley’s earnest coming out video from the beginning of the week, the Olympic diver has given his first interview on the subject. Daley recorded an interview with Jonathan Ross to air this Saturday night. The interview started with a few general questions about Daley’s show Splash, but quickly moves on to Daley’s video, which he shared on YouTube on December 2.

Daley caused quite a "splash" with his video earlier this week.

“It really was love at first sight, I'd never felt like anything like it before,” Daley recalled in a quote released from the interview. “We were at a party and I hadn't even spoken to him all night. I didn't know what to do or if he was gay at first.”

Sandra Bullock impressed her UK audience with her rendition of 'Chopsticks' on a giant piano mat as she joined Tom Hanks in his re-creation of the similar scene from his 1988 movie Big.

The Gravity star may be a super talented actress whose onscreen tears are some of the most convincing we've ever seen, but her appearance on 'The Jonathan Ross Show' proved that she had skills in other areas.

When Jonathan rolled out the piano, Captain Phillips star Tom Hanks wasted no time in trying out his musical feet - though when the talk show host joined him for a round of 'Chopsticks' like Hanks' 80s family movie, things didn't sound quite right.

He may have sang about lighting up the sky with boy band Take That in their hit 'Rule The World' but Gary Barlow probably never intended to do such things literally. Now it seems The X Factor judge is one step closer to that goal after he offered to perform at the Blackpool Illuminations switch-on ceremony on Friday (30th Aug).

The Script had originally been scheduled to perform alongside Eliza Doolittle and Madness but Danny Donoghue's band were forced to pull out due to a "serious family illness." Upon the news that The Script could no longer play at the event, Take That's Gary offered to step in, offering his band's services via Twitter. "I hear Blackpool are looking for someone to switch the lights on this year? If they'd write a cheque to Children in need I'd do it?," he wrote.

The British Comedy Awards were held last night, presented once again by Jonathan Ross. It saw a room of the country's funniest people come under one roof to celebrate and ridicule one another, as is the British tradition. 

Twenty Twelve and The Thick of It have been compared since the former hit screens in 2011. It satirises the shambolic organization of this year's the Olympic games, while The Thick of It satirises the inner workings of the British government. However, despite audiences loving Twenty Twelve and it receiving four nominations in the three categories that it's eligible for, it failed to take home anything. Both Olivia Colman and Jessica Hynes from the show were nominated for Best Actress, but they lost out to The Thick of It's Rebecca Front. It seems an odd snub given that everyone has been celebrating all things Olympic since it was revealed that London got the deal.

Another surprise was Jack Whitehall's voted win of King of Comedy for 2012. He was up against some serious comedy heavy weights that have done the circuit for years: Alan Carr, Lee Mack, David Mitchell, Graham Norton and last year's Queen of Comedy, Sarah Millican. Initial speculation had assumed David Mitchell would get the prize, for his many panel show appearances, Peep Show and That Mitchell and Webb Look. However, Whitehall has really broken through this year, with popular shows Bad Education and Fresh Meat, which are a lot better than they sound.

For most people, Halloween means fashioning some kind of mummy outfit out of an old bed sheet that you no longer need. Or popping down the pound shop for a witch’s hat and cheap face paint. It means carving a rudimentary smile in a pumpkin. It means traipsing round the neighbourhood with your children whilst they beg people for confectionary that’s actually worth more than the cheap outfit you hastily dressed them up to go trick or treating. Or it means staying home and pretending that you’re not in, whilst watching a marathon of horror DVDs.

Not if you’re Jonathan Ross though. Oh no. The formerly-disgraced-but-now-sort-of-back-in-everyone’s-good-books TV presenter must be planning to throw one hell (see what we did there) of a party because he’s got workers in transforming his palatial home into some kind of castle, or dungeon. No expense spared for a party at Wossy’s house, folks!

It was less of a Taylor Swift love story, but a lust story, as the country-pop star strutted her risqué side at the Radio 1 Teen Awards on Saturday (October 6, 2012), reports The Sun.

After initially posing as the innocent pop star before the awards, Swift shocked fans by confidently swaggering on stage donning hot-pants and a sheer top with sequins to cover her, erm, necessary items, before belting out her hits; ‘You Belong With Me,’ ‘Love Story,’ ‘Red,’ and ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.’ "That show was like "EEEEEEEEEEE!!!" @BBCR1 Teen Awards. Wembley Arena. I'm in love with you, London.” Apparently, this was a much-needed injection of sex appeal, as Swift has the reputation of being a bit of a good girl. But, we all know how good girl reputations can go bad, don’t we Britney?

British Swift fanatics were treated to a bumper weekend, as the 22 year-old star appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show, where she talked about her career, her songs, and well, the lack of talking about her personal life. “I would much rather my personal life be sung about. I think it sounds nicer that way, rather than me talking about it in some magazine article,” she said.

Adele is to join the ranks of the musical elite, having been chosen to sing the theme to the new James Bond movie “Skyfall”.

The song, “Skyfall” which shares its name with the title of the film, has been written by Paul Epworth. Rumours of her involvement with the Bond franchise were put in place when she “hinted she would be working on [a 'special project'] during an interview on Jonathan Ross's chat show on ITV1 in September 2011” (BBC).

The history of the James Bond theme includes only the best and most iconic of musicians and bands, including Sir Paul McCartney, Duran Duran, Madonna, Tina Turner, Tom Jones and most recently a collaboration between Jack White and Alicia Keys.
