There's a calf in Texas who looks remarkably like the KISS star.
Of all the Kiss cosplay efforts we have ever seen, this Texas-born calf is probably the best. With her facial markings and her tongue lolling out, she looks exactly like frontman Gene Simmons - and the rocker can't help but agree. Now people are trying to get the two to meet.
Gene Simmons at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Last Friday (July 28th 2017), a beautiful calf was born in Kerville, Texas and - due to her striking resemblance to a certain 70s rockstar - she has been named Genie. Now her picture has gone viral and a local tourist company called Hill Country Visitor are trying to get 67-year-old Gene Simmons to attend a charity event at Cowboy Steak House.

KISS have donated a guitar to be auctioned off to raise money for Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
Kiss have donated a guitar to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
The 'Crazy Crazy Nights' hitmakers had to cancel a gig in the city following the terrorist attack at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena in May, and singer-and-guitarist Paul Stanley has handed over the Ibanez PS120 he would have played at their show in order for it to be auctioned off to raise money for the medical facility's
Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.

If any band is deserving of a compendium compiling all of their music, personnel, events and related subjects, it's probably Kiss. Throughout a career stretching over 40 years, 21 studio albums and 10 band members, no other band has monetised what they do so brazenly or as successfully as Kiss.
At the start of their bombastic and over the top live shows you hear the announcement 'You wanted the best, you got the best' and now, thanks to Brett Weiss' encyclopaedia, we know that I you wanted a Kiss branded coffin, a Kiss branded condom, a Kiss branded pinball machine (or indeed a Playstation 1 Kiss pinball game) you could very well have those too.
To start with the positives, this book is truly, quite impressively exhaustive. As you might expect, every member of Kiss gets an entry, as does each of their albums. You get a two page Paul Stanley biography, about half a page on each album (although the entry for the Dynasty album contains a typo, tut tut) and this is fairly representative of each member and album.

KISS frontman Gene Simmons has poured cold water on rumours the original KISS line up - including former guitarist Ace Frehley, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss - will reunite.
When quizzed on the rumours, he said: ''No, that means nothing. We've tried that. Ace and Peter [Criss, original KISS drummer] came into the band and were thrown out three different times because of drugs and alcohol. I mean, how many strikes do you want? And to new fans, it means nothing.''

The search was part of an investigation into alleged child abuse, though the rocker and his family are not suspects.
Kiss frontman Gene Simmons had his house in Los Angeles searched on Thursday by the LAPD’s task force on online child abuse – though the singer and his family are not suspects, the force’s spokesperson was at pains to emphasise.
The L.A. Times reported on Friday (August 21st) that the 65 year old rocker’s home in Benedict Canyon was searched by the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, after police went to the property with a search warrant yesterday morning.

One of Europe's best rock and metal festivals returned to its home at Donnington Park last weekend and it's safe to say, once again, that Download smashed it. With a range of bands from Kiss, Motley Crue, Billy Idol, Rise Against, Parkway Drive, We Are Harlot and more all booked to play, there was something for everyone at the festival, and that was one of the most noticeable highlights.
Despite the torrential rain pouring down during Slipknot's set, they pulled off one of the best shows to date on Friday and set an extremely high standard for the rest of the headliners. Playing hits like 'Psychosocial', 'Devil In I', 'Spit It Out' and 'Custer', and attempting to break the Download record for the most amount of people all jumping up at the same time they certainly went all out.
Muse were considered to be a controversial band to have booked, but all concerns were quickly dashed as soon as they hit the stage on Saturday. Matt Bellamy's vocal abilities were on top form as the band belted out tracks from their newly released album 'Drones' as well as well-known hits like 'Supermassive Black Hole' and 'Plug In Baby'. Even those who were indifferent or somewhat disliked Muse couldn't deny that they put on the show of a lifetime complete with dancing lights, pyrotechnics, confetti and inflatable balls.

Here's a preview of what to expect from Download 2015.
Download Festival sponsored by Zippo is now approaching its twelfth year and it keeps on going from strength to strength, and this year is looking to be the biggest and best to date. The festival will return to Donnington Park (its home since 2003) between 12th and 14th June with a line-up that covers everything on the rock, punk and metal spectrum.
Rock royalty are headlining this year's festival, with Slipknot and Judas Priest rocking the Friday, Muse and Faith No More on the Saturday and Kiss and Motley Crue on the Sunday; it's looking to be a jam packed weekend.

Different Angle is the latest singe from the band
Indie-rock band The Cribs have been delighting audiences with their unique blend of alternative, garage and punk rock for over a decade now and it seems that the original Yorkshire trio have finally been noticed by the super big guys: Kiss.
The Cribs have released their second single from their sixth album
At least that’s what they want you to think in the video for their latest release, Different Angle, which they have shot entirely on VHS as they meet and greet fans in New York and hang out with look-alikes of Kiss band members.
Slow Club have made a steady rise from unknown live artists to having a headlining tour around Europe. That said, they are still a far cry from the likes of legends like Kiss. Aren't they?
With three albums under their belt, Slow Club has steadily made their way from working as an unknown live duo act, to a critically acclaimed headlining band. With a slow (as their name suggests) and subtle approach to song writing, you would have difficulty finding any comparison with a heavy metal band like, say, Kiss. And yet, for the music video of 'The Pieces', they called on the themes of obscurity and featured Kiss. well, a Kiss tribute band. According to Charles Watson, founding member of Slow Club, the Kiss tribute band was used because he liked the interesting concept of performing and working as a different band, and performing someone else's songs.
Slow Club released their third studio album, 'Complete Surrender', on 11th July, 2014
Following the release of their third studio album, 'Complete Surrender', on 11th July, 2014, Slow Club explained how they came together and the inspiration behind the music video for 'The Pieces'. Watson explained: "'The Pieces' video was filmed in Huddersfield, and the band are a Kiss tribute band from Belfast. The idea was just kind of to try and get inside the mind of a band that kind of played other people's music and I think it's an interesting concept."

Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons have called the incident "blatantly untrue" and a "misunderstanding."
Kiss musicians Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons have hit back at claims made by actor Eric Stonestreet alleging that the rockers were rude to his mother, Jamey Anne, on a flight. The Modern Family star kept his fans up to date with his mother's travels and started by posting a screenshot of an excitable text conversation with his mother when she had spotted the rock and roll superstars on her plane.
"I think Gene Simmons is on my flight," texted Jamey, adding "Do you think I should go give him a kiss?" However, things apparently soon turned sour, as Stonestreet revealed in another Instagram message.
"Turns out both Gene Simmons AND Paul Stanley were on my mom's flight to Kansas City. Gene tried to bully my mom out of her seat and when she said no, he said, 'It's ok, I just bought the plane' and then asked her for HER autograph. - d**k move... The Paul (sic) called her 'Aunt Bee' - d**k move," he wrote.
