Katy Perry And Ryan Phillippe Shoot Down Dating Rumours

Katy Perry Ryan Phillippe

Ryan Phillippe has moved to vigorously deny the recent rumours that he’s dating pop megastar Katy Perry, tweeting sternly that he “barely knows” the singer and telling reporters to stop flying helicopters over his house.

A few weeks ago, a number of tabloid reports suggested that the 42 year old actor had been seen behaving very affectionately with Perry at Elton John’s birthday party.

However, the press intrusion seems to have gotten to Phillippe, with the Canadian-born actor taking to Twitter to tell all the gossip-mongers to drop it already.

What Did Reese Witherspoon Name Her Baby Boy?

Reese Witherspoon Ryan Phillippe

Reese Witherspoon is a mother for the third time, as she and husband Jim Toth welcomed baby boy Tennessee James into the world, US Weekly confirmed today.

Tennessee James is the pair’s first child, with the actress being mother to daughter Ava, 12, and son Deacon, 8, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. Having divorced each other in 2006 following seven years of marriage, she and Toth, a CAA agent, tied the knot in March 2011 at the actress' $10 million ranch in Ojai, California after over a year together.

Back in March, a source close to the pair admitted they she was a little apprehensive about having another child, however Toth’s ease at getting along with her two children all but made up her mind. The source then revealed that Reese had become taken with the idea of settling down with Toth and wanted to start a family with him.

Reese Witherspoon Ryan Phillippe Melanie Griffith Don Johnson Joaquin Phoenix

Reese Witherspoon has named her new baby boy Tennessee James, reports The Huffington Post. He was born yesterday (September 27th).

The 36-year-old's third child is guaranteed a shot at acting with a name like that. Witherspoon already has two little ones from her previous marriage with Ryan Phillippe; Ava, 12, and Deacon, 8. Linda Rosenkrantz, co-founder of Nameberry.com, has some explanations behind naming techniques employed by parents. "It's a trend that had its roots starting in the late 1980s," she said," with several celebs picking names from the American West, like Austin, Dallas and Dakota, including Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, whose now grown daughter Dakota is the star of a new sitcom. But lately the trend seems to be heating up and much more widespread." Celebrities seem to be obsessed with choosing never-heard-before names for their offspring, and are looking far and wide for names that fit the bill: "The current trend seems to be really exotic-sounding spots, like Morocco, Egypt and Asia, and states rather than countries or cities -- Alabama, Arizona, Indiana and yes, Tennessee."

Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon made her name in 2001, with her breakout role as Elle Woods in the box office hit Legally Blonde, after bagging a Golden Globe nomination for the critically acclaimed Election. She also garnered critical praise for her performance in Walk The Line alongside Joaquin Phoenix.

The Bang Bang Club Trailer

The Bang Bang Club was founded in South Africa, during the troubled Apartheid period but came to prominence in the years 1990-1994. The 'club' featured many photojournalists who were active before the fall of Apartheid but focuses in particular on four: Kevin Carter; Greg Marinovich; Ken Oosterbroik and Joao Silva, who often went to extremes to capture their award-winning photographs.

Chaos (2005) Review

Weak
Though it ended up going straight to DVD in the U.S. (after earning a total of about $1 million in France), Chaos surprises by opening with a real bang. Might something good actually come of this? The film opens with a big bank heist -- always a reliable crowd-pleaser -- in which Wesley Snipes' Lorenz holes up and makes a bunch of demands, including that suspended cop Quentin Conners (Jason Statham) be brought in to negotiate. But just when things look like they're going to get interesting, Lorenz blows up the bank, the hostages all run out, and Lorenz vanishes... along with the movie's engagement.

Chaos immediately descends into doldrums, with Conners and extremely strange partner Shane (Ryan Phillippe) trying to figure out who Lorenz is and why he robbed a bank but didn't steal anything. Cat and mouse ensues, Seven style, until we figure out the truth that's been telegraphed since the very beginning. (And trust me, everything you need to fill in the pieces can be found in the last two paragraphs.)

Crash (2004) Review

Excellent
In Crash, a simple car accident forms an unyielding foundation for the complex exploration of race and prejudice. Thoroughly repulsive throughout, but incredibly thought provoking long after, Paul Haggis' breathtaking directorial debut succeeds in bringing to the forefront the behaviors that many people keep under their skin. And by thrusting these attitudes toward us with a highly calculated, reckless abandon, Haggis puts racism on the highest pedestal for our review.

There is no better place for this examination than the culturally diverse melting pot of modern-day Los Angeles. In just over 24 hours, Crash brings together people from all walks of life. Two philosophizing black men (Ludacris and Larenz Tate) steal the expensive SUV belonging to the white, L.A. District Attorney (Brendan Fraser), and his high-strung wife (Sandra Bullock). A similar vehicle belonging to a wealthy black television director (Terrence Howard) and his wife (Thandie Newton) is later pulled over by a racist cop (Matt Dillon) and his partner (Ryan Phillippe). Soon, many of these people get mixed up with a Latino locksmith (Michael Peña), a Persian storekeeper (Shaun Toub), and two ethnically diverse, dating police detectives (Don Cheadle and Jennifer Esposito).

54 Review

OK
Extremely watery and soap opera-ish, this expose on the inner workings of Studio 54 at the end of the 1970s is pretty tame. Sure, drugs, sex, money, booze, etc. were all free-flowing. But who didn't know that? The fictionalized story of a bartender's rise to power that's weaved in here doesn't make the film any better.

Homegrown Review

OK
Movies about marijuana are historically slapsticky, funny romps (see the Cheech and Chong oeuvre). Homegrown probably started out that way, then turned into a typical drug thriller, only set in the northern California hippie community. Message to producers: Hank Azaria is a comedian, not a gun-toting action hero.

Antitrust Review

Weak

Just about the time the fur was really flying between Microsoft and the Justice Department in 1999, screenwriter Howard Franklin ("The Man Who Knew Too Little") seized the day and scurried over to MGM with the kind of pitch that integrity-free studio execs love to hear: 25 words or less and based on an earlier, successful movie.

It must have gone something like this: What if we ripped off "The Firm," except instead of having a company full of evil lawyers trying to corrupt the hero, we'll feature a monopolizing Microsoft clone? We could get a low-rent, pretty boy matinee idol to play the college grad geek (he'll have no credibility, but what the hell? he'll bring in the teenage girls!) and he'll stumble on to a giant technology conspiracy masterminded by a very thinly veiled Bill Gates surrogate!

And thus was born "Antitrust," a transparent thriller from the recycle bin, transcribed into a laptop computer and retrofitted with an MP3 soundtrack, MTV editing and a cast of beautiful people where the nerds should be.
