Two Of B.B. King's Daughters Have Hired A Lawyer To Investigate How Their Father's Finances Were Handled Before His Death, Amid Allegations His Business Manager Misappropriated Funds.
LaVerne Toney has been accused of mishandling the blue legend's money, denying him proper medication, and even keeping family and friends away from the singer during his final hours on 14 May (14).
Two of King's daughters, Patty King and Karen Williams, have now hired lawyer Benjamin Crump to put an end to speculation surrounding Toney, reports entertainment news website Complex. Crump said that they are "not being accusatory", and adds, "They just want to find out the truth of all that happened with their father."
Toney has denied the accusations, and Brent Bryson, representative of the B.B King estate has branded the claims "absolutely false and without merit".
