In character, Spade asked, "What's crappinin'? Is this the Grand Ole Opry? I thought I was getting a lifetime achievement award!" Spade's 2001 Joe Dirt film was a cult favourite, and in July (15), he returns to the role in a sequel, Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, premiering on website Crackle.
Fact: Funnyman David Spade has splashed out $900,000 (£563,000) on a fully-restored version of the 1969 Dodge Daytona his character Joe Dirt drives in the 2001 comedy.
