Steven Seagal won't star in any of 'The Expendables' films because he doesn't like some of the people involved.
The 62-year-old star has famously rubbished the idea of ever joining the star-studded cast of the ensemble action films and he's now revealed the reason behind the decision.
Quizzed on why he'd never appeared in the film series, he said: ''I just didn't like some of the people involved.''
'The Expendables' stars Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Jason Statham and Jet Li while Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger joined the cast for 'The Expendables 2'.
Although the cast of the upcoming third instalment 'The Expendables 3' has added even more names, including Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes and Harrison Ford, Seagal insists he's still not interested.
He told The Big Issue: ''Life is too short to work with funny people.''
However, the 'Under Siege' star has confirmed that he would consider putting together his own team of action heroes for his own production.
Quizzed on whether he'd thought of assembling his own team to take on 'The Expendables', he said: ''That might happen. I like Jason Statham. I like Jet Li, people like that.''
Stallone - who directed the first film in the series - has previously admitted to disagreements with Seagal in the past.
He said: ''Steven Seagal said he 'didn't associate with that kind of element' - meaning me. So I slammed him up against a wall.''
