2 Chainz wants to collaborate with Justin Bieber in the future.

The 38-year-old rapper - whose real name is Tauheed Epps - has sparked rumours he's planning to team up with the 'Sorry' hitmaker as he would love nothing more than to take the pop star back to the ''trap'' and start creating some music with him.

Taking to his Instagram account, he shared a picture of him posing with the 22-year-old singer and accompanied it with the caption: ''New music on the way ??? Take JB to the trap ??? (sic).''

Tragedy has struck the hip hop community once again as it's revealed that a 28-year-old rapper from Atlanta named Bankroll Fresh (aka Trentavious White) has been killed in a shoot-out outside of a recording studio. Police have no leads on the perpetrator thus far, or indeed their motives behind the murder.

Bankroll Fresh (formerly known as Yung Fresh) was shot on Friday (March 4th 2016) outside Street Execs Studios in Northwest Atlanta, with the Fulton County Medical Examiner confirming that he later died from his gunshot wounds on arriving at Hughes Spalding hospital.

2 Chainz, the hip-hop artist born Tauheed Epps, has revealed that he is running for mayor in his hometown of College Park, Atlanta, Georgia. However, the rapper isn't one of the town's 14,000 inhabitants, which could prove problematic.

Country star Keith Urban reaches top spot in Billboard 200 album chart race as the Australian born singer narrowly beat The Weeknd'S 'Kiss Land' for that No.1 position.

Billboard reported that 'Fuse' sold 98,000 copies whereas 'Kiss Land' sold an equally impressive 95,000, with 3,000 copies separating the No.1 and No.2 spot, based on Nielson SoundScan data collected from the past week.

This was the smallest margin of victory since January of this year (2013) where the soundtrack to 'Les Miserables' nudged past Mumford &Sons 'Babel' by only 2,000 copies. Rapper 2-Chainz took the No.3 spot with 'B.O.A.T.S II #METIME' selling 63,000 copies which is a huge drop compared to his debut album 'Based on a T.R.U Story' that finished at the top spot, selling more than twice as much with 147,000 copies.

It looks like Atlanta's Music Midtown festival is on its way back up as 2013 brings us the biggest line-up since its return from a six year hiatus.

We are back to where we started with Midtown, which takes place on September 10th - 21st at Piedmont Park, as we see a 2 day, 2 stage event just like its debut in 1994. We've still got a long way to go before it's back at its peak with 3 days and 6 stages, but the line-up hasn't far off doubled from last year and another stage has been added too. The excitement when it was announced that Midtown was making its return in 2011 is hard to beat, but we reckon this year's line-up could reel in an even more impressive overall ticket sale.

The Budweiser Made in America Festival 2013 was jampacked with highlights from some of the most iconic artists of the age, as well as some of the best up-and-coming stars and the hidden talent you'd be a fool to have missed.

Taking place over August 31st and September 1st in Philadelphia, the Saturday kicked things off with some impressive acts. Feisty California sisters Haim performed early on in the afternoon with a thoroughly entertaining set, in terms of both music and audience interaction, on the Liberty Stage where other must-see artists such as Deadmau5, 2 Chainz and triple BRIT winning Emeli Sande also thrilled the crowd. The Freedom Stage saw the likes of Rudimental further establish their place in the hearts of a large proportion of festival goers, while the Skate Park Stage saw much smaller bands such as Ohio group Cloud Nothings and New Jersey D&B duo Brick & Mortar get the ultimate chance to showcase their talents. The main Rocky Stage was, of course, the real crowd bringer, with Beyonce headlining and Phoenix and Imagine Dragons delivering the uttermost electrifying rock shows of the night.

2 Chainz has been arrested along with 11 other passengers on a tour bus after failing to comply with police after they were pulled over with a broken tail light in Oklahoma City, News 9 reports.

On Wednesday night (21st Aug), 2 Chainz had performed at Chesapeake Energy Arena with fellow rappers Lil Wayne and T.I. It is not known yet whether the others were with 2 Chainz, AKA Tauheed Epps, when the bus was pulled over just after midnight on Thursday. The officer reportedly suspected that there were illegal drugs on the bus but the driver is said to have locked all the doors and refused police entry with all passengers also refusing to leave the vehicle.

Due to hit the LA State Historic Park in a couple of weeks is the 2013 Hard Summer Music Festival featuring headline sets from several electro-house artists including Duck Sauce, Knife Party and Justice.

The festival first appeared in 2007 when Destructo (a DJ also known as Gary Richards) began promoting a series of live events that also included Hard New Year's Eve, Hard Haunted Mansion and Hard 13. This year it will take place on August 3rd and 4th and includes four stages including the Ed Bangor Records 10th Anniversary Stage and the Dirty Bird Players Stage.

Other headliners this year are Skrillex and Boys Noize side project Dog Blood, Californian DJ Bassnectar and Aussie duo Empire of the Sun. They will be joined by the no less exciting supporting acts of chart favourites 2 Chainz, Azealia Banks and Rudimental as well as SBTRKT, Flux Pavilion, Flying Lotus, Zedd, Crystal Castles and Baauer.

Footage has emerged of the men that attempted to rob the rapper 2 Chainz at gun point. You can clearly see the point at which 2 Chainz sees the gunmen and fleas for his life, but he also insists that nothing was stolen from him.

The CCTV footage, obtained by TMZ.com, shows the rapper to be walking down the street when the assailants attack. He was in San Francisco with some friends when the incident occurred, and police told TMZ that he’s had his wallet and his watch stolen – something that the rapper himself denies. “Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch, money etc.” he wrote on Twitter. “Rule #2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies.” He added to the social networking site, before finishing with “Nobody took Anything from me, i didn't get shot, I'm not in jail, Don't know wut else to tell ya. Sorry if I disappointed anyone, maybe next time. (sic)"

2 Chainz has managed to walk away from his marijuana possession charge an innocent man, thanks to a lack of evidence that the offending items actually belonged to him. The Guardian reports that 2 Chainz claimed one of his bodyguards had packed the rucksack, therefore the drugs were not necessarily his. The bodyguard, Harold Folsome Jr, said that he had just packed the bag with items found around the hotel, thus absolving himself of prove ownership, too. “whoever left t in the room, I guess that’s who it belonged to,” [sic]said Folsome.

2 Chainz was arrested for the offence back in February when Maryland state police pulled him over in a routine stop and smelled burning marijuana coming from the vehicle. Talbot county court judge William H Adkins said “It belonged to somebody in that room," the judge agreed. "As for who, I don't know.” As the ownership of the offending items was not proven, no charges were brought against the rapper or his bodyguard. The arrest, however, has already caused significant disruption to 2 Chainz music career, as well as for some of his fellow hip-hop stars as Nas was forced to cancel his Live Nation Movement festival, citing 2 Chainz’ “visa issues resulting from a pending unresolved court case” as a reason.

The rapper released his major label debut Based On A TRU Story last August. It debuted at number one in the US. He has now begun recording in Paris with Kanye West for a new LP.

Today saw rapper 2 Chainz acquitted of the drug charge he was served in Maryland way back in February. The rapper (real name Tauheed Epps) was heading to a college homecoming event, according to CBS news, when he got pulled over at the most inconvenient of times. Upon suspecting him of smoking weed, the police searched the rapper’s vehicle and found a marijuana grinder and actual marijuana inside a backpack. So that’s what that smell was! 2 Chainz was subsequently charged with possessing drug paraphernalia and marijuana. Seems only fair, doesn’t it?

But, after the case dragged for two months, the verdict is finally in - “not guilty”. The reason for the acquittal? 2 Chainz’ bodyguard testified that in a rush to leave the hotel room, he had packed the grinder, but he didn’t know whom it had belonged to. It wasn’t Epps’ though, that’s for sure. Looks like that story was believable enough for the judge and 2 Chaiz got a full acquittal, reports the Star Democrat of Easton, Md. This news comes on the heels of a similar story, involving Justin Bieber. But the Biebs didn’t even get charged, due to a lucky happenstance for him. All in all, the day was obviously a success for *ahem* non-pot smokers everywhere.

With Justin and now 2 Chainz' trial, it's shaping up to be an eventful week, full of drug charges.

Psy is back with his hit multi-platinum single 'Gangnam Style' but this time introduces us to a collection of remixes just as the craze was starting to settle down!

The South Korean popstar is here with his new EP 'Remix Style' which features some stunning remixes from Diplo and Afrojack as well as some exciting collaborations with 2 Chainz and Tyga. The EP was released today (March 5th 2013) and will definitely have us enjoying the overly played track another time round. These new collaborations are particularly exciting to hear as he had told MTV News earlier in the year that he wasn't planning on any just yet. 'I don't think I'll be doing any collaborations until my new track is done, and it's not done yet, but I'm thinking of doing it by myself, so I can prove I can do it one more time', he told them. 

'Gangnam Style' became a worldwide hit topping the charts in numerous countries but it is best known for its music video featuring the singer performing a particularly striking dance routine. The video has been viewed more than 1.3 billion times on YouTube making it the first to reach 1 billion and, indeed, the most watched video ever on the video site.

Rapper 2 Chainz was arrested for possession of marijuana this week after a van he and six crew members were traveling in was hauled over by Maryland State Police. Authorities say 2 Chainz had weed on his person and was subsequently arrested, though the rapper formerly known as Tity Boi was processed and released a short time later. However, something pretty interesting happened before he made it back onto the street.

Tweeting shortly after his release, 2 Chainz said, "Locked me up and then Wanted pictures," before linking to an Instagram photograph of himself posing with two officers in what appears to be a police station. The image has been set up and sees the three men smiling back at the camera. When quizzed on the matter, a representative for Maryland State Police told The Urban Daily that he did not know whether 2 Chainz asked the police officers for a photo (unlikely) or vice versa, saying, "We cannot confirm who initiated that at this time."

The rapper and his entourage later got in a Twitter discussion about the arrest, with 2 Chainz seemingly unrepentant, saying, "I work hard and pray even harder, we gone always b good yall...." before adding, "Not to mention my security said it was his and they said, he don't smoke, how da fuk u know? Haha wut a valentines day!!!"

Rapper 2 Chains is set to appear in an upcoming episode of CBS' hit comedy 2 Broke Girls that will air the night after the Grammys on February 11.

The opportunity for humour will be all-over as the world of cupcake making and hip hop come hurtling towards each other in an episode where the rapper will appear as himself, the Hollywood Reporter writes, in an episode that will see the two girls (Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs) getting shipped over to the Grammy's by a record executive that has fallen for Max (Dennings).

The episode will see Max and Caroline rubbing shoulders with the 'Birthday Song' hit-maker as they fly (a first for Max) from east to west coast for the awards show. The show will air on CBS, Monday 11 Feb. at 8/9c.

Kanye West has finally broken his silence over his new mixtape, Cruel Summer. The notoriously media-shy West has, until now, left it up to some of the other stars on the compilation to spread the world about this week’ album release. Now, though, Kanye himself is appearing in a black and white interview clip, hosted on YouTube. Cruel Summer features not only Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music crew, but also the likes of Jay-Z, R. Kelly, 2 Chainz, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah. “This isn't the beginning of the conversation; this isn't the end of the conversation, explains West. It's our offering as a collective of a sonic snapshot of what's happening right now 2012, this Cruel Summer.”

Explaining how the album came together, he explained “we started out getting everyone in the lab together… one track might have thirty people’s opinions on it. It’s not just about a tracklist and a name. It’s about the communal style of work.” He also explained that the artwork to Cruel Summer played a vital part in shaping its sound, He would have the artwork in front of him whilst he recorded the tracks and would ask himself “does this album sound like the artwork looks?”

A few snippets of Cruel Summer had already been leaked before it was even released. And much had been made of some of Kanye’s lyrics, especially those that are about his new girlfriend Kim Kardashian. One choice rhyme from Kanye references Kim’s notorious sex tape: “Eat breakfast at Gucci. My girl a superstar all from a home movie.” Stay classy, yeah Kanye?
