Jamie Lee Curtis returns - and she's badass.
Forty years after John Carpenter's epic slasher 'Halloween', Michael Myers is back with a deep desire for slaughter once again. This time, Laurie Strode is ready for him; this is one killer who'll find himself the hunted rather than the hunter this Hallow's Eve.
There's already been nine sequels to the 1978 movie, of course, and keen fans of the franchise will note that Laurie's character was killed off in 2002's 'Halloween: Resurrection', but this year's installment is a direct follow-up to the original with Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role for the fourth time as the terrorized woman who's about to end Michael Myers' reign of terror once and for all.

Jamie Lee Curtis says David Gordon Green's script is the reason she's returned for this year's 'Halloween'.
A little later this year, Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney/Nick Castle) will be back on the big screen, terrorising Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) once more, only this time, the 'Halloween' scream queen will be more ready than ever before to take on her villainous foe. Taking place decades after John Carpenter's original 'Halloween' flick, and acting as a direct follow-up to that film, with director Danny Gordon Green ignoring all of the sequels that followed, the movie will see Michael escape from his prison facility and go on another rampage.

Courtney will tackle the role of Myers for the majority of the scenes in the horror, but original Myers actor Castle has also taken part in select sequences. With so much talent behind-the-scenes, bringing one of horror's biggest figures back to life, many were left wondering just why now felt like the right time to build upon the 'Halloween' story once more.

'Halloween' 2018 looks to be an incredible sequel to the original horror flick, and Jamie Lee Curtis is excited to be on board, but here she throws back to why she did one of the series' sequels, 'H20'.
Released in 1998 and directed by Steve Miner, 'Halloween H20: 20 Years Later' was the seventh instalment in the 'Halloween' horror movie series. Bringing Jamie Lee Curtis back into the hold as original 'final girl' Laurie Strode, the movie also starred the likes of Michelle Williams, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and LL Cool J, amongst others.

Set 20 years after the events of the first two films, the flick didn't do much to impress the critics or fans of the overall franchise. It saw Michael Myers make his return as he did his best once more to finally kill Strode, but she would eventually get the better of him and take him out with an axe.
