Following her latest stint in a psychiatric facility, Amanda Bynes was released yesterday, October 30^th. Bynes spent just two days at the clinic, despite a judge’s ruling that she was to spend a month in treatment. According to TMZ, the troubled actress asked to be released on Thursday, to the dismay of friends and family. She walked out just three days after the judge’s ruling. The whole thing was a bit more formal than it sounds, however. After the ruling, Amanda contested her involuntary psychiatric hold at a hearing at the facility. Such hearing must be held within four days after a judge decides on a mandatory psychiatric hold.

Bynes is on her meds, but she is still considered unstable.

Despite getting a temporary conservatorship, Amanda’s mother Lynn Bynes cannot make decisions about her psychiatric treatment.

Amanda Bynes made a name for herself on Nickelodeon, first on sketch show 'All That' and then with her own series 'The Amanda Show'. In 2007 Amanda starred in the remake of Hairspray alongside Zac Efron and John Travolta. Then in 2010 Bynes announced she was retiring from acting though she would later change her mind and instead say she was merely taking time off. Amanda’s break from acting. however, would mark the start of her very public troubles which began with a DUI charge in April 2012.

Months after Amanda Bynes made news with her odd behavior and alleged mental illness, her mother, Lynn Bynes, is stepping up to defend her daughter and set the record straight. She has denied the mental illness claims entirely and attributed all of her daughter’s antics to marijuana. This explanation seems to fit with Bynes’ previous history – in May 2013, the actress was arrested for throwing a bong out of the window of her New York apartment.

Bynes is feeling much better these days, no thanks to medication, according to her mother.

"Amanda has no mental illness whatsoever. She has never been diagnosed as schizophrenic or bipolar," Bynes tells Us Weekly in a statement, via attorney Tamar Arminak. "She is very sorry for all the hurtful tweets, statements and actions that occurred while she was under the influence of marijuana."

The newly released Bynes has been living very low-key for the past few days – so much so that gossip websites are forced to report on instances like her going to Costco (which she did earlier in the day, apparently) or walking the dogs. Hopefully, if she keeps this low-profile for a while longer, Bynes will be able to escape the buzz that her breakdown created earlier this year.

It’s finally good news for Amanda Bynes, who has reportedly left the treatment facility where she spent the last two months. People magazine report that the actress is done with inpatient treatment at the rehab center and is now completing her recovery at her parents’ LA home.

Amanda Bynes has now left UCLA Medical Center where she was receiving treatment for a mental illness in favour of a more upmarket, relaxed rehab facility in sunny Malibu.

The star is no doubt troubled, but there are many in the spotlight who have been, so an elite rehabilitation clinic like The Canyon, where the likes of Brooke Mueller have previously been treated, seems the perfect option for her to get her head together. Since the move, her lawyer Tamar Arminak has told TMZ that she is making 'great strides towards recovery, while previously been locked up at UCLA left her "scared" and "afraid" because she "was stuck with people in much worse condition than her" according to sources.

Other sources have revealed, however, that Amanda hasn't exactly tried her best to improve, claiming, "She interacts with people very little and rarely leaves the area where she's living" since she moved in 3 weeks ago. She is also apparently becoming increasingly anxious about paparazzi attention, something that has been made clear over the past months by her array of messy wigs that she has used to hide her face as much as possible.

Amanda Bynes has moved from the Reagan UCLA Medical Centre and moved to a private facility outside Los Angeles. Her mother's attorney, Tamar Arminak, made the announcement yesterday (Monday 30th September). According to TMZ, Bynes is now residing in The Canyons, an exclusive Malibu rehab centre which caters specially for celebrities.

Her stay in the psychiatric facility, originally set at 72 hours, has been continually extended. Amanda Bynes’ rehab entry has changed the terms of her treatment, TMZ reports. The troubled star, who was taken on 5150 hold and then had her stay at the UCLA psychiatric ward extended at the end of August, has now moved to a Malibu rehab center, according to the website. The center, The Canyon, reportedly does not have the psychiatric care facilities of UCLA, which could jeopardize Bynes’ treatment for a serious mental illness, but it does cater specifically to celebrities, so the star is getting her privacy at the very least.

The troubled actress has moved from UCLA to a private facility.

The website reports that Amanda prefers to keep to herself and has barely interacted with other people since her entry into the center. The retired actress checked into The Canyon about three weeks ago and she has remained within her living area at the center since then. Apparently, the star has given up the trademark wig that she was seen wearing in the weeks prior to her psychiatric hold. However, she is now paranoid that the paparazzi will find her.

Amanda Bynes is apparently too unstable to stand trial for an alleged DUI incident that took place last year. Bynes was due to stand trial for the allegation on Monday, 24 September, however a report from TMZ has revealed that the judge for the case was unsure whether Bynes could comprehend the seriousness of the trial, and has arranged a pre-trial to evaluate her mental state.

Rich Hutton, Amanda's lawyer, apparently spoke with TMZ on Monday after the case was rescheduled at the last minute. The judge proceded to re-arrange the trial date, depending on the outcome of a trial in a mental health court, where a judge and a team of medical expert will determine her mental state. He also said that he thinks the whole furore surrounding Amanda at the moment is nothing more than media chatter and he doesn't think there is anything wrong with Amanda's mental state.

When asked about the pictures of her and Justin and whether the friendship between the two had turned into something more, Miley outright denied any speculation on the matter: “I’M ENGAGED!” Miley burst out.”It’s impossible. I’m engaged.”

So that’s the Justin Bieber rumors addressed then, as well as the Liam Hemsworth ones. If you’re wondering what the Liam Hemsworth thing is all about, here’s the gist: Miley went out without her engagement ring once a couple of months ago and the breakup rumors have been ceaseless since then. Maybe this will settle it once and for all, but that seems highly unlikely.

As for the Amanda Bynes incident, we’re referring to the tweet Bynes directed at the “We Can’t Stop” singer. Amanda was brief, but clear, when she tweeted “Ur ugly @mileycyrus” yesterday. Miley on the other hand, refused to engage the troubled star and simply commented in her interview: “I think it’s all so sad. I just don’t wanna add any fuel to that fire,” Miley simply said. “I was rooting for her comeback.”

He said, "The fact that Amanda wants to do hip-hop music means that Chinga Chang label is the best place for her to do this, because of my past experience with bringing pop and legitimate hip-hop together."

Following Amanda's recent arrest for smoking pot and potentially being a threat to herself and others, the Easy A star has had a number of job offers fly in, including the chance to appear in Playboy or alternatively front a show on Playboy Radio. Although she turned down the chance to work with Hugh Hefner's company, Bynes may not be so quick to turn down her latest job offer, especially if it can potentially turn her into a rap star.

According to the New York Post, they have a lot to vent about. “Living with Amanda Bynes is like living with Linda Blair in The Exorsist,” one resident in Amanda’s building reportedly shared. “She stares you out in the elevator. Residents are terrified to be alone with her. She knocked on one woman’s door, and when it opened, she screamed ‘You’re ugly,’ and ran away. Amanda always seems to be alone, muttering to herself and looking completely out of it.”

This account matches up remarkably well with what the media have been reporting about Bynes lately, but if it’s true, it might imply that there’s something more troubling going on with the retired actress than your standard celebrity breakdown. Maybe it goes deeper than just a pierced-cheeks-blonde-wig rebellion. According to the anonymous resident, Bynes’ antics in the building’s communal spaces – the lobby, elevators, aren’t flying with the building’s management either. The disgruntled neighbor continues: “The day before her arrest, she arrived in a cab and ran upstairs, leaving the driver shrieking that she owed him $150. She left her cellphone in the cab. The good news is, she hasn’t been seen in the building since her arrest.”

Luckily, Amanda still has people in her camp. While her LA-based family is trying to stage an intervention and take over the management of Amanda’s life and career. Meanwhile, her lawyer has leaped to her defence in front of the media: “Amanda’s fine. This has all been blown out of proportion.”

According to TMZ, Bynes did just that – taking the time to unwind with a spontaneous trampoline class in Buffalo, New York. It was a pretty unremarkable class, apparently. Bynes wandered around aimlessly for a bit, looking rather dazed, then she jumped to her heart’s content.

She was also reportedly sporting a brown wig, but the actress is now infamous for her curious hair pieces. And that would have probably been all, if one man hadn’t approached Amanda after the class to ask her what she was doing in Buffalo. Amanda reportedly denied being in Buffalo. While being in Buffalo and speaking to a man, who was also currently located in Buffalo. As usual these days, Bynes also took to twitter to air her side of the, erm, story – namely, that she hadn’t been in the city and she didn’t own a brown wig.

As questionable behavior goes, this is one of Bynes’ most minor incidents, but it does fit into her recent pattern, which has fans and, more importantly, her family, highly concerned. Bynes’ LA-based parents have threatened to have her placed under a conservatorship, effectively taking control over her decisions until she is capable of taking care of herself.

The last time we heard from Lindsay Lohan, she was done with the Betty Ford Center and wanted to get out of there as quick as possible. However, while Amanda Bynes has been stealing her 'former child star goes crazy' headlines, it turns out Lindsay has been doing some pretty good work in rehab.

According to sources that spoke with TMZ.com, the actress has been attending all of her groups and one-on-one counselling sessions and has even started talking to friends about what she's learned. Apparently Lohan has been working on her self-control and reckless impulses and even though the program is getting more complicated and emotional, she's grasping the opportunity with both hands.

Lohan - who is on lockdown in the Betty Ford Center in accordance with the judge's demands - is apparently sleeping in a room with two roommates because she doesn't want to be alone. Insiders say she's actually getting along with both of her fellow patients. Furthermore, several people who have visited Lindsay in the center say she's looking far better than she's looked for a long, long time.

The NYPD's drugs case against television star Amanda Bynes is crumbling quicker than Justin Bieber's clean cut image. According to our friends at TMZ.com, the cops have absolutely no evidence that Amanda was ever in possession of weed in her Manhattan apartment last week.

An NYPD official blabbed that the police report mentions nothing of any marijuana recovered from the scene and only notes that Bynes threw what is believed to be "drug paraphernalia" out of the window. No drugs are thought to have been recovered from the scene, which is what Amanda has maintained since her arrest.

Essentially, what this all means is that the police can try prosecuting Amanda for reckless endangerment or drop everything. It is almost certain that the glass remnants of the alleged bong will NOT be admitted into evidence. Nobody's quite sure whether anyone tampered with the glass which sat in the pouring New York rain for days. In other words, the NYPD can't use it.

Some news few people saw coming - Amanda Bynes seems to be pretty much off the hook in the case of marijuana possession. Apparently right now the whole case against the troubled actress hinges upon the testimony of her arresting officers, since no evidence – aka weed – was found in Bynes’ home, TMZ reports. This is, of course, what Bynes has been saying all along. As for the bong that she allegedly threw out of the window on that fateful night – even if it is recovered the chances of it being accepted as evidence in court are very slim.

According to the report by TMZ, which in turn cites police sources, apparently the remnants of what was supposed to be said bong were recovered by the police sometime after the incident. Because they sat out there for days – at the mercy of the elements, human hands, etc. – there is no way to know if the remnants have been tampered with though, and therefore it is highly unlikely that they will be accepted as evidence in court.And who's to say that the police even found what they were looking for, after all Bynes insists that she threw a vase, not a bong, out of her window (as you do).

Even charges of reckless endangerment, the prosecution’s last hope of nailing Bynes with something, seem improbable at this point, because, according to lawyers, there is no case without physical evidence of what was thrown. So, unless something else pops up, it looks like Amanda will live to fight and post puzzling Twitpics another day.

In a move that has shocked no-one, the New York Police Department have vehemently denied the allegations made by troubled star Amanda Bynes, who claims that she was sexually assaulted before her arrest last week. The former child star was taken into police custody on Thursday (May 23) after police responded to reports that she was smoking cannabis in her NYC apartment, with Bynes throwing her bong out of her 36th floor window when confronted by police.

Over the course of the weekend, Bynes has spent much of ehr time on Twitter denying any wrongdoing on her behalf, claiming that she is drug and alcohol free and the media are inventing stories to make her look bad. On Saturday (May 25), the Easy A actress went one further and started throwing accusations around, name that she was sexually assaulted by one of the officers who entered her apartment on Thursday, writing on her Twitter; "I was sexually harassed by one of the cops the night before last which is who then arrested me... He slapped my vagina...The cops were creepy. The cop sexually harassed me, they found no pot on me or bong outside my window. That's why the judge let me go. Don't believe any reports."

She then continued to re-Tweet various stories that mentioned her supposed run-in with the cop, remaining somewhat quiet on the situation until Monday (May 27), when she revealed her intentions to sue the NYPD for false imprisonment and for lying, going on to say that she is also going to sue her apartment complex for filing a false report to police about her pot smoking habits. Interestingly enough, when she did go through all her intentions she failed to mention the harassment again, although her claims her already imbedded in peoples minds by this point, the NYPD's in particular.

As Amanda Bynes' ongoing downward spiral into self-destruction continues, it looks as though the former child star is looking to bring a few people down with her, namely the New York Police Department. The actress is reportedly taking the NYPD to court on a variety of charges, but the one that sticks out is of course the claim that she was was sexually assaulted.

Bynes Tweeted last week that not only has she never touched a drug or drop of alcohol in years (because she's allergic to them apparently), but that her arrest for smoking pot in her apartment before throwing a bong/vase out of her 36th floor window was totally uncalled for and she will be seeking retribution for her false incarceration. It was on Friday (May 25) when she mention that she was sexually assaulted, although when she went on a rant on Monday (May 27) detailing her intentions to take the NYPD to court she for failed to mention the assault again.

She Tweeted on Friday, replying to an ABC News story about her, "The cops entered immediately upon knocking! I was sexually assaulted! I called the cops while they were in the room!" Having previously posted a longer Tweet in which she denied all of her current dealings, mentioning that one of the cops that arrested her "slapped my vagina."

Such is Amanda Bynes’ reputation, that when she claims she was sexually abused by an officer of the law, no one seems to take it seriously. “Don’t believe the reports about me being arrested. It’s all lies,” the 27-year-old former actress Tweeted on Saturday. “I was sexually harassed by one of the cops the night before last which is who then arrested me,” she alleged.

“He lied and said I threw a bong out the window when I opened the window for fresh air. Hilarious. He slapped my vagina. Sexual harassment. Big deal.” It is a pretty big deal, if it’s true, so why is all the focus on the alleged bong going out of the window, and not on the abuse of a woman by a male police officer? The reputation that she has cultivated has lead to a degree of nonchalance regarding her actions. She also, apparently, sent racist tweets to Rihanna. Is that bad? It’s pretty bad, but it’s Amanda Bynes, and she’s crazy! This will not do. “I then called the cops on him. He handcuffed me, which I resisted, quite unlike any of the reports stated. Then I was sent to a mental hospital. Offensive,” she wrote.

“I kept asking for my lawyer but they wouldn’t let me. The cops were creepy. The cop sexually harassed me, they found no pot on me or bong outside my window. That’s why the judge let me go. Don’t believe any reports.” Weird.

Anyone reading this doesn't need to be told that Amanda Bynes has been displaying some rather out of the ordinary behaviour of late, with the former child actress' most recent run-in with the law stemming from an incident when cops were called to her New York apartment amidst reports that she was smoking pot in the lobby of the building, only for Bynes to throw her bong from the 36th floor window of her room when confronted by police.

Bynes was then taken into police custody, wearing a platinum blonde wig to conceal her shaven head, before being taken to court to face her charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and criminal possession of marijuana. Whilst her actions seem to reflect someone with a touch of mental instability, TMZ have reported that not only has the star refused a psychiatric evaluation, but she doesn't necessarily need one, as friends and some shrinks have said that an evaluation of her mental health is unwarranted.

According to TMZ, her parents are worried that the celebrity is exhibiting signs of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia and want to place the star in involuntary conservatorship, similar to what Britney Spears was place under followingher very public breakdown. However Bynes' behaviour has not been outlandish enough for such a measure to be taken, and given her behaviour during Friday's court case (which you can see footage of on TMZ), there are no immediate signs that her mental health needs to be checked. Bynes was sharp in her answers and clearly understood what was happening during the court case, leaving the judge with no reason to bring her mental state into question. In the three criminal cases Amanda was involved in recently in California, her behaviour was equally as admirable, and as the star has constantly stressed she sees no reasons for her mental health to be brought into question.

The always entertaining Amanda Bynes is back in trouble with the law again, this time getting put away for marijuana possession and throwing her bong out of a window whilst police were monitoring her. The incident occurred when police were called to a midtown Manhattan apartment where Bynes was staying following complaints that the actress was smoking and rolling up joints in the lobby of the building.

The NYPD officers that were dispatched to check out the situation on Thursday night (May 23) are believed to have entered her 36th floor apartment where they witnessed Bynes heavy clouds of pot smoke and a bong. Upon noticing the officers, Bynes then reportedly threw the bong from her window and on to the street below. She was arrested soon afterward. The 27-year-old former child star was taken to a nearby station and charged with reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and criminal possession of marijuana.

The Amanda Bynes saga continues as today saw actress Amanda Bynes arrested in New York for marijuana possession. According to a report by TMZ, police found the pot after they responded to a call about disorderly conduct by someone in Bynes’ building. The Hairspray actress was then taken away in handcuffs, with a messy, bleach blonde wig covering her face. According to TMZ’s source, the police got called, because of Bynes’ strange behavior. She wasn’t acting normally and was reportedly talking to herself – a symptom, which, if you’re familiar with the retired actress’s recent string of odd behavior, isn’t all that unexpected. Another rather disturbing part of the story claims that prior to her arrest, Bynes reportedly threw a bong out of her apartment window.

At least she went quietly though. The video by TMZ shows the star walking peacefully with the officers to the police car, not resisting at all. Whether the star has learned her lesson and decided to cooperate, or she was just too tired to put up a fight, her peaceful arrest should work in her favor in court. This comes after a week, blissfully free of news of Amanda Bynes’ odd behaviour. However, earlier this month, the star made a number of blunders, including a string of disturbing tweets, leaking nude pictures of herself and reportedly an incident during which she stole a bottle of hairspray out of a salon.

The troubled young actress, pardon, ex-actress, who brought us hilarious comedic performances in films like Hairspray and Easy A, has been on everyone’s lips lately. The reason? After her controversial behavior and plain absurd Twitter feed of late, people have been wondering whether the 27-year-old retired actress wasn’t in need of help. But, well, shaving half her head really isn’t that outrageous. Especially since the half head has been the go to trend for the past year or so (we blame Skrillex). Bynes tweeted a couple of pictures of her new do yesterday, accompanied by the caption: “I buzzed half my head like @cassie! No more old photos! This is the new me! I love it!” She was referring to the R&B singer, Cassie, who has a similar hairstyle.

The newly assimilated New Yorker had a bit of a hair mishap a few weeks ago, when a shoddy extension job left her with noticeable micro-beading. But after buzzing her head, she seems to have turned the hair-don’t into an actual wearable style. “I had to shave my head because of hair damage from someone @ John Barrett so I’m not loving my paparazzi pics for a few years. I have extensions but you can see them,” she tweeted. Well, until the trend wears off at least. And kudos to Bynes for that. If anyone can rock a half head, it’s the oddball actress for sure.

Amanda Bynes’s behaviour of late has been raising a few eyebrows, and a big part of it has been her strange Twitter feed. This time though, the Hairspray star tried to explain herself and chastise the media via Tweeting.

“I have an eating disorder so I have a hard time staying thin,” she posted on her account Thursday.

From her social media presence and media appearances lately, it does seem like Bynes has an intense desire to lose weight, but that hardly explains the rest of her embarrassing incidents. The retired actress also criticized the media for using unflattering photos when writing about her: “They write a news article about every tweet I write and I hate the pictures they choose. They repeat what I tweet then add a bad photo.”

Amanda Bynes’ erratic behavior continues. So much so in fact that it’s getting hard to keep up with the former child star’s antics. After a major transformation, including her brand new red hairdo and cheek piercings, Bynes was seen gallivanting around NY, when she was supposed to be in court, attending a suspended license hearing in Burbank, Calif. She later tweeted that the redhead, seen around town was an impostor: "My hair is blonde I've never been a redhead! Somebody keeps posing as me! Check my photos on twitter for up to date pictures!"

"Fake or real microdermals same glasses! I don't own those clothes and I'm blonde! Haha!" Those tweets are now deleted from Bynes’ account. Her latest stunt was skipping out on the bill at NY’s Blow hair salon and even taking a can of hairspray along with her, according to perezhilton.com. The Hairspray star’s confusion went as far as going back to the salon and trying to book another appointment – unsuccessfully, as you’d probably guessed.

Despite her questionable behavior, everyone's still rooting for Miss Bynes.

Some strange goings on in the world of Amanda Bynes at the moment, with the star being snapped about the place in Manhattan with an apparently new do – or was she? E! Online reports that the trouble star was walking around the New York district sporting a new red haired look, which caused some attention among those passing her, convinced it was the star. However, apparently it could well have been an imposter. Strange.

Check my photos on twitter for up to date pictures!" Amanda Bynes wrote on her Twitter account, confusing the matter somewhat. The person did look awfully like her after all. Bynes continued to insist that the person wasn’t her, singling out specific accessories the apparent fake was wearing. "Fake or real microdermals same glasses! I don't own those clothes and I'm blonde! Haha!" she commented.

Bynes, if you recall, has had a series of driving mix-ups, most of which occurred last year and related to her being drunk or otherwise intoxicated at the wheel. Indeed, she didn’t show up to her case regarding driving with a suspended license yesterday (April 2, 2013), though is believed to be getting ready to strike a plea deal.

Amanda Bynes' family want her to move back to Los Angeles, following a couple of worrying tweets from the 26-year-old actress, who now resides in New York. However, Bynes is refusing to move back to the West Coast and is happy living in her Manhattan apartment.

According to E! News, Amanda had her family concerned after posting a rather graphic tweet about Drake, before taking revealing snaps of herself and posting them online. On top of her tweeting, the actress has endured some serious legal troubles in the past few months and settled two hit-and-run cases after reaching a civil compromise with her victims, sparing her 12 months in jail.

She was also involved in two bizarre episodes in September, including locking herself in a store changing room for two hours and allegedly stripping off during a gym class. "Amanda shut them out and isn't speaking to them [her family]," a source explained, "She is doing everything on her own. She has no direction. Amanda is out of control. She won't accept help from anybody.... She's completely lost." Photographs of Amanda out-and-about in New York this week seem pretty normal to us, so maybe the press are just getting bored of Lindsay Lohan?

Just when we thought it had gone quiet in the world of Amanda Bynes, the former Nickelodeon star has been posting a series of bizarre and vulgar tweets and seems to have given herself a rather ridiculous makeover, too. Not content with piercing both of her cheeks (or so it appears), she decided to use her Twitter feed to announce to her 330,000 followers “I want @drake to murder my vagina.” Um… nice.

The message has been re-tweeted over 14,000 times, though for what purpose, we’re not exactly sure. Whilst some commenters have celebrated the tweet with comments such as “this is what Twitter was made for”(@woodlandalyssa), others have been less understanding of Bynes’ bizarre statement: “what does that even mean. Twitter is such an odd place,” said @jackiewolven. Clearly feeling no need to explain her overtly sexual message, Bynes later posted saying simply “Twerking out.”

So, Amanda Bynes calls Jay-Z 'ugly face'. That's fine, isn't it? It's not as if 'ugly face' is the worst thing anyone's ever been called - it sounds like an 8-year-old's insult. Although, she did post a picture of Jay-Z to accompany the juvenile jab. Yeah, that's worse.   

It was as simple as that; a picture of Jay-Z wearing glasses, and looking like his car's about to be towed, with the caption "Ugly Face". That was posted to her 275k followers, and that's not very nice, Bynes. But she did kind of realize what she'd done - possibly getting on the wrong side of both the self-appointed CEO of hip-hop and, basically, queen of everything Beyonce AND, probably, by extension, her Destiny's Child girls. It's not worth it, Amanda, it can't be. It's also worth mentioning that her Twitter account could easily have been hacked; it's happened before (to others) and by the lords of the Internet, it'll happen again. 

The 26-year-old hasn't exactly been enjoying a quiet and polite existence. The seemingly troubled star has endured run-ins with the law, misdemeanours, hit-and-runs, a DUI arrest and other traffic violations, and during all that, she decided to quit acting. No one from the Bynes camp has commented yet, so it'll be interesting to see how they play the Jay-Z tweet situation. Mr Carter is also yet to respond to the tweet, and we're pretty sure he never will.

Amanda Bynes – is she or isn’t she?

Getting evicted that is. Earlier this week, a report claimed that the ex-Nickelodeon girl has left her New York City apartment and is being threatened with eviction. However, according to a newer report by Celebuzz, the star is adamantly denying any such claims. In fact, according to the website, Bynes sent them a text, reading: “I’m not moving. I don’t have a landlord! I don’t rent! I own a condo in NY.”

It does sound a bit iffy that a multi-millionaire would choose to rent, instead of own her own place, but on the other hand, the building’s management has a different story to tell. At least according to TMZ, the Hairspray actress got evicted from the building earlier this month for being a nuisance. Apparently, management had a problem with Bynes’s pot smoking habit, which she has reportedly been indulging “morning, noon and night”, even smoking in the hallways, despite it being a non-smoking building. TMZ also reported that Bynes wasn’t planning to challenge the decision and instead had decided to simply move on quietly.

Amanda Bynes' cheek piercing sent Twitter into overdrive on Monday evening (January 14, 2013) while the Nickelodeon star also shared a photograph of the silver-stud on her new Tumblr account. In her first post, Bynes posted a black-and-white picture of herself with blond locks, black sunglasses and the new piercing on her left cheek.

The 26-year-old followed the snap up with another photograph of her smiling, again showing off her new stud. Perhaps she was pleased with news that her pre-trial hearing for her two misdemeanour counts of driving on a suspended driver's license in Burbank has been continued till February 26, 2013. Is that something to get excited about? Probably not. Anyway, it was a rollercoaster year for Bynes in 2012, who often threatened Lindsay Lohan for the mantle of most controversial star in Hollywood. There were arrests, court-cases and rumors of breakdowns in store changing rooms, leading Amanda planning to quit the acting business for good and start a fashion line. She told People magazine, "I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line. I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false."

Somehow, we doubt this is the last piece we'll write on Amanda Bynes.

Good news for Amanda Bynes as the actress has managed to escape prosecution over two criminal cases involving two separate counts of alleged hit-and-runs after she paid civil settlements to the drivers.

The two  hit-and-run incidents, which occurred in April and in August, were dismissed by the ruling Los Angeles County Superior Court judge this week, after her attorney reached deals with the drivers she was accused of hitting out of court. The misdemeanour dismissals will no doubt come as a major relief to the former child star, as she was facing a potential six months of jail time for each of teh two charges she was facing.

Once a mainstay on Nickelodeon and in teen films, Bynes has suffered a major fall from grace in recent years, and this latest court decision may very well be the only good news she has received in some time. Still, this dismissal is just the first in a long line of charges being held against the former child star.

Last week In Touch magazine reported that Amanda Bynes was waltzing around a tanning salon completely naked, aside from goggles, apparently incognizant to onlookers. However, Bynes has responded with venom to the report that she claims is entirely false, and plans to sue the mag, reports US Weekly.

Bynes told US Weekly that she'll be "suing In Touch for printing a fake story." Plus, in reaction the variety of negative press she has been getting lately, and potentially wanting to separate herself from others that have waltzed down that slippery slope that so many celebs manage to fall down, "I'm not 'troubled.' I don't get naked in public. I'm 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy." Retired at 26, that's the life, eh? Well, perhaps not if your every move is reported somewhere around the world. 

She really has had a tough time of recently, as she's also reportedly been ditched by her publicists, lawyers and managers, following a DUI and two hit and run charges. Bynes enjoyed a successful career with Nickelodeon as a teenager, but hit the climax of her career starring in She's the Man in 2006, and supporting in the 2007 movie adaptation of Hairspray, alongside John Travolta. In September Bynes told People that she would be retiring from acting, to instead further pursue a career in fashion. 

Lindsay Lohan’s alleged attacker has been released without charge. The latest Lindsay Lohan news is that a ‘scuffle’ broke out between Lohan, 26 and a man in a New York hotel on Sunday (September 31, 2012); they are said to have been arguing over some photos that the man is alleged to have taken of Lindsay on his mobile phone. The incident happened yesterday and Reuters have confirmed that her alleged assaulter was not charged; the misdemeanor assault that had been filed against him earlier in the day was dropped and he was allowed to go free.

Police refused to confirm that the man in question was Christian LaBella, 25, of California. “Nobody’s been arrested, there’s no assault,” the police told Reuters. “Reports were taken and both parties were able to take account of what took place.” Lohan’s spokesman, Steve Honig insists that Lohan was the victim of an assault though and stressed her innocence in the incident: “Lindsay was victim of an assault," Honig told Reuters. "She does not face any charges.” Honig also stated that she suffered “minor injuries” though the report does not explain what they were.

This is the latest in a string of unfortunate spats for Lindsay. She recently posted a message on Twitter questioning why she was incarcerated for her previous law-breaking activity, whilst fellow tearaway Amanda Bynes has yet to be punished for her own driving offences. Fate seemed to be toying with Lohan when – just a few days later – she was arrested for allegedly striking a pedestrian with her car as she left a New York nightclub.

Amanda Bynes' recent legal troubles have attracted comments from the mother of another wild child, reports Mercury News.

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina Lohan doesn't acknowledge the similarities between her daughter and Bynes, but did have something to say on matters: "You know, I'm a mother, and I feel that that's for her mother to speak about, and not me, because people have spoken for my child and myself," Lohan told Entertainment Tonight. "I really feel that's for her parents to discuss and Amanda herself." Nice of mummy-Lohan to give her view, and she went even further, deciding to advise the Bynes on how to look after their daughter: "Just be around. It's hard when your daughter's not, you know, over 18, and you want to let them go and they want to feel like they're in control of themselves. So it's a very strategic place for a parent to be, but she'll be OK."

Bynes' latest exploit, like that of Lohan's, was a hit and run incident, which she has pleaded not guilty for. Well, her lawyers entered the plea for her, as the 26-year-old was in New York trying to launch her fashion career. She has previously been arrested for drink driving, and talking on her cell phone whilst behind the wheel. In fact, all her misdemeanours are automobile related. Friends and close affiliates of Amanda Bynes have been the only few to lend a helping hand to the former child star as she continues to arouse suspicion of a mental breakdown, with little or no attention to the situation being paid by her family.

According to a number of these allies, who have spoken to TMZ on the subject, they are perplexed and angered at the fact that her family have been so quiet during the star's downward spiral. One particular friend believes that they have done just about everything they can for Bynes and that any other help lies with her family.

Apparently though, Amanda has made it increasingly difficult for any of her family to contact her by cutting off communication with all of them, her mother, father, brother and sister included. According to a number of sources, her family now have no way of contacting the Easy A actress, although for some friends that isn't good enough as they are demanding that her family do all they can to help her, even if it means break down her front door.

Amanda Bynes is facing yet another court case related to her erratic driving, this time facing a charge of knowingly driving on a suspended license. This latest charge follows two other driving related charges that the Easy A actress has faced in recent months, including charges for drink driving and an alleged hit and run case.

Celebrity gossip site TMZ released the court papers online, in which it reveals that Amanda's charges stem back to her traffic stop at Burbank Airport last Sunday (September 16th) when her car was impounded. Since then, Bynes has faced another charge of driving on a suspended license, only an hour and half after she was first caught.

If that isn't enough, Bynes is still facing a DUI charge and two hit-and-run charges from earlier this year, not to mention her spat with the law after she was spotted smoking an unknown substance from a suspicious looking pipe in her car earlier this month.

Troubled Amanda Bynes has been dropped by her agent, lawyer and publicist all in one go as her increasingly erratic behaviour has made it hard for her to be represented as a client, TMZ reported.

Despite being something of an ideal client of the past decade or so, her downward spiral into self-destruction has made her almost impossible to represent. A source close to her one time management team told the celebrity gossip site that it hasn't been able to get in touch with Bynes for the past month, not by phone, in person or any other way. According to a similar source, all three members of her representative team tried their hardest to help out the star but their cries fell on deaf ears. The team decided to jump ship after they decided that they had no reason to stick with someone who doesn’t want their help.

A source close to the 26-year-old former child star has since revealed that Bynes feels that she no longer requires their services because she’s retired from acting in order to concentrate on a new venture - fashion. Despite numerous attempts, no one has been able to get in touch with Bynes personally, something that will be made even harder now that she has no one to represent her.

It’s been an embarrassing week for Lindsay Lohan. After publicly questioning why Amanda Bynes’ recent driving offences hadn’t been punished as harshly as her own past misdemeanours, Lohan had clearly troubled the gods of fate, as she was arrested for allegedly striking a pedestrian with her Porsche outside a New York nightclub. Now, the tire company Goodyear have clearly decided that both Lindsay and Amanda are both as bad as each other and have sent them almost identical letters, offering them free driving lessons.

TMZ have obtained copies of a letter, allegedly sent by a representative for Goodyear, offering to fly the two hapless actresses to Akron, for private, one-on-one driving tuition, in attempt to reduce these Lindsay Lohan arrests and Amanda Bynes DUI incidents. The letter addressed to Bynes begins by saying “We’re sorry to hear about your latest driving mishap. We understand that you’ve struggled behind the wheel before and that driving can be a real challenge… As a public figure, the spotlight is always on you and it’s even more important for you to know the basics when getting in the driver’s seat… We’re concerned for your safety and the safety of those who hit the road each day and we’d like to help out any way we can.”

The cheeky communications rep also offered the services of their dealers to replace her tires to some of Goodyear’s top of the range ones. As yet, it’s unclear whether or not either Amanda or Lindsay plan to accept the offer.

Amanda Bynes is dangerously close to ending up behind bars. The judge in the Nickelodeon star’s DUI case has had just about enough of her shenanigans, saying that if she breaks the law on the road one more time, it’ll cost her, big time.

According to TMZ.com, Bynes’ lawyer showed up in a Los Angeles court on Thursday (September 20, 2012) to fight the District Attorney’s request to impose $50,000 bail on the actress for her April DUI arrest. The D.A. argued that Amanda had proven she’s a danger on the road (she has two hit-and-runs hanging over her) and wanted the judge to deter her from endangering anybody else. However, the judge perhaps correctly asserted that Amanda’s alleged hit-and-runs occurred before her license was suspended, so decided to give her a break, for now. However, he made it crystal clear that if the actress were to break any further laws of the road, he would impose a huge bail, in order to get her attention.

We would suggest that Amanda probably doesn’t drive for the time being, because, well, her license is suspended. Earlier this week, it was reported how the actress locked herself in a Los Angeles boutique changing room for hours before eventually reappearing. Weird.

More bizarre behaviour from Amanda Bynes. The Nickelodeon actress has barely been out of the headlines of late and today (September 20, 2012) is no exception. TMZ have now reported that Bynes got herself chucked out of a gym class, for behaving inappropriately. You’d think that Amanda might just stay home for a few days until her reputation has healed a little but she seems intent on going about her business in her own unique, headline-grabbing way.

The latest report from TMZ alleges that Bynes attended a 50-minute spin class at the Equinox centre in Hollywood but was asked to leave by the instructor before the class had even ended. Sources at the gym told TMZ that the 26 year old was participating in the class, when she suddenly stopped and started to walk around the room, seemingly looking for another bike. Once she found another bike to use, she removed her top, to reveal a small black push-up bra. Not a sports bra, the source was keen to add. Then, approximately 25 minutes into the class, she stopped cycling again, picked up her Louis Vuitton purse and started re-applying her make-up. And we’re not talking quickly touching up her foundation here; apparently Amanda went to town, doing her lipstick, eyeliner, everything. The class instructor finally snapped at this point and ordered Bynes to leave the class. The source reveals he couldn’t believe that someone would start applying makeup in the middle of a class.

The news comes hot on the heels of several Amanda Bynes DUI dramas and tales of Amanda locking herself in a boutique changing room for almost two hours, as well as reports that her parents have moved back up to California to support their daughter during this evidently problematic period.

In the battle of the fading actresses who can't seem to keep their cars on the road safely, Amanda Bynes has hit out at Lindsay Lohan and said that the latter star's fresh legal problems are bad karma for slagging her off on Twitter. As has been well reported, Bynes has been driving without a legal license after it was revoked in August, following an incident in April that saw her stopped on suspicion of DUI. Bynes has popped up driving aimlessly around West Hollywood, getting into a minor scrape with another vehicle and eventually having her car impounded at the Bob Hope Airport in California in the past couple of weeks.

Lohan, who has had her own well-documented driving problems in the past, not to mention the jewellery theft that led to hours of community service at the hands of the Los Angeles law, raged on Twitter "Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?"

However, Lohan's rant has apparently landed her with some karmic retribution, so TMZ is reporting. Bynes has been telling pals that her rival's recent problems, that saw her arrested after allegedly hitting a pedestrian outside a New York hotel, were "what she gets" for talking smack on Twitter..." adding that Lohan is "not cool." At this stage we'd say that neither are particularly showering themselves in glory.

Lindsay Lohan arrested again? It looks as though Lindsay Lohan tempted fate when she lashed out at Amanda Bynes the other day. Though she's deleted it now, on September 16, 2012, the Lindsay Lohan Twitter page contained a message from the former Disney star questioning why she had been jailed for her past misdemeanors, whilst Bynes had seemingly managed to escape punishment, thus far. Then, in a move that seems to have been conjured up by an expert scriptwriter, Lohan was arrested for allegedly striking a pedestrian with her jet black Porsche, outside a New York club.

According to a report from the New York Daily News, Jose Rodriguez, the Manhattan chef, whom she is alleged to have struck, claims that Lindsay was "slurring" and "smelled of alcohol". He also said that Lohan and her friends "acted like I was nothing. that no one could touch her because she was rich and powerful." However, the police who dealt with the case have charged her with leaving the scene of an accident but have added that there's no indication that Lohan was under the influence of alcohol. In fact, they were so convinced that she was sober, they didn't even breathalyze her.

Lindsay's spokesperson has downplayed the incident, saying that it's "much ado about nothing" and expects the drama to blow over. A source at the police department also claimed that video evidence shows that Lindsay did the honorable thing of blinking her lights at the pedestrians but Rodriguez walked out in front of her.

As if Amanda Bynes' reputation wasn't already in tatters, TMZ have reported that the 26 year old's parents have moved to California to look after her. Not a great look for an adult but clearly, her parents have acted out of necessity, as Bynes' behaviour has been spiralling out of control of late. Bynes is apparently adamant that she does not need to be placed under a conservatorship, as Britney Spears was, when her behaviour became uncontrollable but still, her parents have decided that they need to be closer to their daughter to lend her support during what is clearly a troublesome time.

Bynes' parents reportedly looked at selling their home in Cedar Park, Texas, in April after the initial Amanda Bynes DUI incident. They couldn't find a buyer so were unable to move immediately. As their daughter's situation worsened - she was involved in more than one hit and run incident, as well as a possible pot-smoking situation - they simply rented their property out and uprooted themselves to Southern California. Sources have told TMZ that her parents have been adamant in the past that Amanda does not have a problem with substance abuse though increasingly, the evidence against her seems to suggest otherwise.

Yesterday, reports emerged that Amanda "barricaded" herself into a clothes boutique changing room for almost 2 hours. When concerned staff tried to find out if she was okay, she simply told them that she needed more time. Eventually, she left in a cab, after making her purchases, with one reporter telling her that it was good that she'd started taking cabs; a sly comment on her recent string of driving offences.

Now, we've all suffered those embarrassing moments where we get stuck inside a too-small dress in a changing room. but 2 hours? That's pretty excessive by most people's standards. According to TMZ, Bynes went shopping in trendy West Hollywood and popped into the hip boutique Kin, where she proceeded to confuse store staff by holing herself up in the changing room for an hour and 45 minutes.

Apparently, the staff heard banging from inside the changing room every 10 minutes or so and asked if 26 year-old Bynes was okay. Another staff member was called and they drove to the store but were unable to coax Amanda out of the dressing room. "I need more time," the actress told them. When she emerged, around 5:30pm, she took a number of items to the till to pay for. At first it seemed that she had forgotten about a bathing suit top that she tried on but she remembered before leaving the store and paid for it.

When she spotted some paparazzi outside, Bynes asked the store staff if they could call her a cab. In TMZ's video, she can be seen getting into the cab, with her face covered. She is helped into the cab by a young man and refuses to comment on the reporter's question about whether or not she feels she should be under a conservatorship. The clip ends with him commenting, cheekily: "It's good that you're getting taxis now;" a comment on the recent string of Amanda Bynes DUI offences that have kept her in the headlines.

However, this hasn't stopped her driving, according to several sightings; on September 11th, Bynes was seen driving aimlessly around for several hours, with TMZ alleging that she was drunk and smoking from a marijuana pipe at the time.

Following that incident she had another minor incident where she crashed into the bumper of another car, before officials eventually were left with no choice but to impound the vehicle after spotting it parked outside the Bob Hope Airport in California. A new TMZ report though says that Bynes has hit back at rumours that she's mentally unstable, insisting that she's completely fine and doesn't have an issue with drink or drugs currently.

Furthermore, Bynes seems to be pretty dismissive of the allegations being levelled at her, regarding her driving - something her recent actions would also attest to. She's reportedly claiming that the charges currently against her are made-up. It's a statement somewhat at odds with other reports that suggest the actress has indeed shown signs of mental distress, including talking to inanimate objects.
